Thomas and Mary Ann had 3 children, Alfred Francis, married to Maria Moss; Francis Daniel married to Virtue Butcher and Ruth Emma Clift married to Walter William Edgington. Ruth Emma is my great grandmother. They were born in England and at one time lived in Salt Lake City, Utah. I would love to get in touch with any descendants of these children. Please e-mail me at wdottiew(a)aol.com

Thanks for your enquiry. Unfortunately it doesn't sound like the same Thomas Clift, as I know that our Thomas Clift died in Wolverhampton, Staffordshire and his wife was named Ann born in Stroud.
Good luck with your continued research... Debbie

I don't know much about my Clift ancestors and have been trying to make some connections. My gr gr grandfather was Thomas Clift born abt. 1805 in Glouchestershire, He married a woman named Mary Ann Mayo abt 1827. Mary Ann was born in Minchinhampton abt 1805 and died in 1887 in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA . Thomas Clift supposedly died in 1852 in Missouri, USA. I don't know any of Thomas's siblings or his parents.
