Hi, I am looking for any information that I can find on Thomas Clift's parents. He was born about 1805 in Glocestershire, England. He married a Mary Anne Mayer(Mayo?), but I do not know when, or if he married her in England. He died in 1847 in St. Louis, MO. If anyone can help me with this I would be extremely grateful. Thank you in advance! Lin Hendrickson

Hi Paul. Thanks for your response. What do you have that makes you think my James is the same as yours? My James was married to Helen Marshall. Helen was from Ohio. I found an application for war pension for a James N. Clift married to Helen J. Clift. It shows this James as an invalid in 1880 in Kansas. He fought in the 6th Mo. Cavalry, Company E. I do not have proof that this is my James. Just coincidences.
Please let me know what proof you have. If it is one and the same then I will share the info on his descendants that I have.
Thanks,
Patty
