Hi Virginia, it's been a while, but did you find any info. on the Cliff family of Kentucky? I'm still trying to find info. on Mary Cliff who married John McGriffin (may be spelled McGuffin in old records) around 1850 in KY and eventually moved to Indiana - Mary and John are my gggrandparents. Thanks - hope your search is going well.
Dear fellow Cliff(e)s,
Hope you can help try to provide a diamond wedding anniversary present for my wifes grandfather. We are off to Bridport, Dorset tommorrow to help him celebrate it!!
He is Clifford Raymond CLIFFE (b. 13th july 1921).
Clifford's father was Walter Simeon CLIFFE.... Possibly from Burton Bradstock, Dorset, UK and, at one stage, was the landlord of the Three Horshoes Pub (not sure where Burton Bradstock or Bridport ?). His father may have come from Harrogate. Anything about possible CLIFF(E) connections greatly received.
Any Dorset or Harrogate CLIFFE's out there? Any information, no matter how seemingly insignificant might make his day tommorrow!! Sorry about the short notice!
I look forward to hearing from you.
Regards
