I need information on Isabella Click being the
daughter of John Click who fought in the Revolutionary
War and resided in Jefferson County, AL.
All information given to me states that John was
Isabella's father, however, I am unable to find the
documentation. Process of elimination says that John
could be the only one that could be her father, but I
need the proof.
Also, the Alabama DAR has him listed as a
Revolutionary War Soldier, however, the national does
not acknowlege this. I am unable to locate anyone in
the AL DAR to find where this information came. Does
anyone have any suggestions on how to go about finding
where proof came from?
Thanks for any help

Hello Joyce,
This is Laura Ware. I am a member of the Click website. Was wondering
if you ever got a response from Carolyn Whitaker about her research. I
had communicated with her briefly in the past about the Click family.
Her
website has a wealth of information. The last e-mail I got from her
several
months ago indicated that she was not updating her website and was really
not interested in doing further research. Sure do hope that her feelings
have
changed in that regard. I think she could help those of us trying to
make
connections to our ancestors. Please let all of us know if you hear from
her.
My Click line is as follows:
Emily Elizabeth Click born March 19, 1854 in Georgia. She died June 14,
1898
in Bradley County, Tennessee. She is buried in Sugar Creek Cemetery in
Bradley County, Tennessee. Thanks to a cousin in Tennessee, I have a
picture
of her headstone. She married Thomas Pleasant Morrison. They are my
great grandparents.
Emily's parents were George W. Click born about 1815 in Virginia. He
died
June, 1880 in Whitfield County, Georgia. Cause of death was a mule kick
according to the 1880 Mortality Schedule. Her mother was Polly A. Hughs
born about 1825 in Tennessee. I have the following census records for
them:
1850, 1860, 1870 and 1880. I also have the 1880 mortality schedule that
shows his cause of death. We don't know where either of them are buried.
Any information anyone has regarding the above people or their ancestors,
I would really appreciate receiving that.
Sincerely yours,
Laura Ware
