Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
This site has CLICK men who got land grants. Use the search function. A
couple of them were in Texas when it was part of Mexico. They got different
grants than the people who came after them. There were three different types
of grants; Mexican, Texas as an independent nation, and Texas as a state.

Well, you are right. There is no reference to any Click, Cleeks or Glicks on
the list for defenders of the Alamo. Now I am really curious as to where I
saw a list in Texas history with 2 Click boys names on it. I know I will be
spending some time trying to figure this one out. It is one of those little
tidbits of information that I stored away to check into some day and never
did. I also checked the list of names of those that fought at the Battle of
San Jacinto and didn't find anything there either. I'm sure I wasn't
dreaming. lol

Sharon, my Click ancestors were from Hancock co.TN. My GG grandmother was
Mary Ann (Polly) Click who married Nathan Hatfield. You and I have exchanged
infromation before but I had a another question for you. I live in Texas
although I am originally from Missouri where my Hatfields migrated to. When
I was visiting the Alamo a couple of years ago, I think I remember seeing a
couple of Clicks on the roster of those who died at the Alamo. Do you have
any information on this?

**Hi Texas Clicks!
Matthias B(aultas) Click m Nancy Moss in Liberty, TN on 05-06-1817.
My husband's line is his brother's James Click b 1826 m 1846 d 1906 out of
(Hawkins)(Claiborne) Hancock Co, TN. One of the nice descendents of those
in Texas sent me a full family outline a few yrs back. I may have it
recorded somewhere under "Kin" but if I printed it out, that will be
expensive. If you want a copy let me know. I will add this new info for
our records.
Seems Clicks were quite successful in TX.
Sincerely
Sharon Carter Lengfellner**

I think we found Matt. He would be a nephew of Marcellus C. Click.
Thomas B. Click b. abt 1825 d. 1866 Bandera Co., TX (Killed by Indians)
+ Frances M. ? b. 5 January 1840 d. 1887 ?
Nancy Angeline "Angie" Click b. 14 April 1861 Bandera Co... TX d. 26 Sept
1913 Florida + David Barton Irvin
Matt D. Click b 22 January 1865 Bandera, d. 21 Feb. 1950 Bandera, never
married.
Tom and James Click joined the Confederacy at the same time, 29 Dec. 1862
Camp Verde, Kerr Co., TX. Marsh joined the same Company B, Mounted Frontier
Rangers. I think the Texas Archive date is wrong for the enlistment of Marsh
Click, Oct. 21 1863. I believe all three joined at the same time. Do you
know? Rufus Click enlisted in Feb. 1864 in Bandera Co..
Rufus Click b. Oct. 1830 d. 30 Sept. 1913 Bandera Co., TX
+ Isabella Zeline Jefferson m 12 Feb. 1870 Bandera Co. TX (I think this is
the 2nd marriage for Isabella. Rufus and Isabella adopted some children)
