Rhonda,
I am tracing the Cleek/Click from Bath County. The only connection that I can
find between the Cleek's and Ginger's is the following: Jacob Cleek (son of
Baltas Click) married Christina Croddy. Christina's sister, Ann, married
Samuel Ginger. I got this info from "Early Western Augusta Pioneers" by Geo.
W. Cleek.
I recently made a trip to Warm Springs and noticed a number of Gingers in the
George W. Cleek Cemetery and the Jacob Cleek Cemetery. I noticed the name,
because my first name is Ginger.
Do you have a copy of "The Bicentennial History of Bath County, Virginia"?
There is a write up on Rev. Perry Edward Ginger, born May 15, 1868. He and his
wife are both buried in the George W. Cleek Cemetery. There is also a piece on
their daughter, Zella Ginger Knisley/Cauley. Both have pictures. If you
haven't seen it, I would be glad to copy the mentioned pages and mail them to
you. Just email me directly and let me know.
I hope this helped a little.
Sincerely,
Ginger Queen

Hello,
I am new to the list and have a question I hope someone can help me
with. In tracing my line of Ginger I have run across several references
to the Click/Cleek surname. The latest venture was in finding a Balthus
Click on a ship called the MARY that sailed from Germany to Pennsylvania
in 1732. Since my Ginger line also came from Germany, I am wondering
where the surname of Click/Cleek originated in Germany and if anyone on
this list has a possible connection with the Cleek/Click family and the
Ginger family. I have several relatives buried in the Jacob Cleek
Cemetery in Bath County, VA and would like to know the relationship
these families shared. So, if anyone out there can help me out, I would
certainly appreciate it. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Rhonda A. Guilliams

I promised I would send some one PUBLISHED STORIES about Marcellus C. CLICK
who was known as an Indian fighter in Bandara Co., Texas. I've lost the e
mail and snail mail address. Please send it again. (Jean, yours went out in
yesterdays mail)
I'm sorry but I've had my 5 and 7 year old grandsons with me and we went for
two road trips in my R.V. Nothing can make a person feel older than being
shut up in an RV with two boys,
If anybody else wants cop[ies send me your snail mail address or a FAX number.
