Hi Mickie,
You might be right about John P. CLICK. The names you have for the sons fit
in the land records.
Below is a genealogy of the CLICK line I recieved from another researcher.
None of it is docmented and there are no geographic references for some of the
people. The name Mathias is used in several generations. John also shows up
often. In Generation 5, Marcellus and Rufus moved to Texas and are well
documented. They also had a brother named Tom who was not on this genealogy.
The Mathias Click on the BLM General Land Office files for Ark is there early
enough to be the father of Marcellus, Rufus, and Tom. Since Henry got land
about the same time as Mathias I believe they are the men listed in Generation
4, number 3 and 5. However, there may be more than one Henry also. The dates
show about 17 years between his first date for land and the second.
We have a lot of sorting out to do.
1st Generation:
1.Baltas Click b.abt 1699 Alsace Germany d.1732 (enroute to America on the
Ship Mary)
2nd Generation:

3. George Cleek
+ unknown (married twice no names on either wife)
4. Elizabeth Cleek
5. Katherine Cleek
6. John Cleek b.abt 1760 d.1857 Jefferson Co., AL
+ Jane ?
7. Margaret Cleek b.1782 d.1859
8. Mathias Cleek b.1790 Hawkins Co., TN.

In response to Grant's post of names from the BLM, John P. Click is probably
"my" John Peter Click who was married to Catherine Widener . He had children
named Andrew Jackson, Enoch, Henry, and Matthias. These are names that were
listed as owning land.

There are 23 listings for CLICK in Arkansas on the General Land Office BLM
site. The earliest one is Henry, 1820. I don't know who Henry is but
Matthias, one I'm looking for, is there, ca 1827, then Ruffus and Marcellus ca
1855-60. Does anybody know how or if all these CLICK's are related?

I wonder how they all fit together?
Grant
Hello Paulette,
I was looking through some old e mail when I saw your letter from May 12 about
the WEAVER's and MUNN's in the Mt. Moriah, Arkansas area. Wilson WEAVER and
David Adam WEAVER may have been related. They often lived in the same areas
at about the same time. Since WEAVER and MUNN are in Mt. Moriah cemetery
together it seems that males of the MUNN family also traveled with them.
Below are the facts we know.
Mary Jane MUNN, m. Wilson WEAVER, 11 Feb. 1813 in eastern TN or NC. Wilson
WEAVER enlisted 9-1-1814, (War of 1812) discharged 2-1-1815 at Elizabeth,
Carter Co., TN. Served as Private in Jessie Cole's Company, Tennessee
Militia,.
Wilson WEAVER and Mary Jane MUNN were found in the following census records.
1820 CENSUS Lawrence Co., TN
1830 CENSUS CarrolL Co., TN
1840 CENSUS DeSoto Co., MS
1850 CENSUS Hempstead Co., AR
Mary Jane MUNN died ca 1866-67 Nevada Co., AR Wilson WEAVER died 02-Aug.
1881 Nevada Co., AR. David Adam WEAVER and some of Wilson and Mary Jane's
descendants moved on to Texas. Traveling with them to Texas was David Adam
WEAVER's son-in-law, Marcellus CLICK. Marcellus CLICK was living in Lafayette
Co., Ark. Seeking any information about the MUNN family of Ashe Co., NC,
eastern TN, VA, or Arkansas.
Thanks.
Grant W. Johnston, Chico, CA
I'm searching for the parents of Julia Click, who married Edom Griffin of
Cocke County before the year of 1842. The couple had 3 children born in
Cocke County--Amanda [Abigail], Preston Fletcher and John W. Sometime
before 1860, the family moved to Hamilton County, IL where daughter
Margaret was born in 1855. Julia died sometime between the birth of
Margaret and 1860. I would very much like to find out about the other
Click families of Cocke County, where they came from, when they settled in
the county--anything. Thanks for any help you can give.
