Hi!
I've been lurking but haven't seen any obvious connections to my line,
so I'll ask: Anybody tracing the family of Johannes GLUECK (1715-1781)?
He and his wife, A. Magdalena HERR, emigrated from Lower Hess-Nassau,
Germany, to Berks County, PA, in 1754. One source claims they had 9
kids.
I apparently descend from their son Albrecht Daniel(?) GLUCK (1752-circa
1784) and his wife Elizabeth (possibly Margaret) KURZ / KUHNS / KUNZ /
KUNTZLER -- who remarried Conrad MARQUARDT in 1790.
Next in my line is Albrecht's son Peter GLICK I (1772-1848) who probably
had two wives: Elizabeth Magdalena BRAUN / BROWN. Peter had about 9
kids I know of, one of whom was John Jacob KLICK (1810?-1860s). His
wife was Christiana DAUB, and they lived in Lebanon County. I descend
from their daughter Catharine CLICK (1841-1926) who married Hiram SCHRAM
/ SHRUM -- they were my GGGrandparents.
I haven't done much with this line, so I can't tell you much about the
oldest generations. But I would like to get Peter GLICK I and John
Jacob KLICK's families straightened out.
Thanks!
Judy Lynn
