Susannah CLICK b. between 1800 -1810, the daughter of Adam CLICK, was my
gr grandfather's mother. His father was Joseph DERR. They may have had

It was suggested I post this info for everyone. According to my 1959
"Joseph Glick Family Scrapbook," using data from "Across the Years," here is
the line for Christian Click (first thought to have married Elizabeth Miller,
changed to Elizabeth Crouse)...
"It has not yet been definitely proved that the following children (said to
be seven in number) are the children of Christian Click, but it has been
hypothesized by three different historians. The main part of the data on the
first four came from desc. B. L. Thuma..."
1. Michael Click - Clark Co, OH, 1827, from Shen Co, VA.
2. John Click, bc 1799, m 2 Sept 1820 Eliz Betz; Clark Co, OH, 1833.
3. Samuel Click, bc 1800, m 21 Nov 1826 Mary Garber - Clark Co, 1836
4. Jacob Click, b 18 Dec 1802, m (1) Catherine Myers - 9 children Ohio,
1830; m (2) Miss Reamer - 5 children Clark Co.
5. Mary Click m 20 Mar 1827 Joel Garber
6. Fannie Click m David Andes
7. (Possibly Susanna m 3 Aug 1815 John Overfelt)
8. (Possibly Elizabeth b 2 Jan 1799 m Joel Akers; lived Franklin Co, VA)
Christian "Click" is the s/o John GLICK Sr who d in 1814 in Shen Co, VA. My
line is from John Glick Jr, who m Elizabeth Bauserman.
That is ALL I have on Christian "Click." Hope it helps someone. (I do have
Andes and Garber info.)

What family traditions have you run across in your lines?
In my family, we would gather at someone's house and exchange gifts for
Christmas. As more grandkids were born, we adopted the name drawing
method for the adults. When you became a teenager, your name would be
added to the drawing. Up until that time, you would get presents from
everyone...how wonderful to be a kid.
On Christmas Day, everyone would gather at my grandparents house for
Christmas dinner. Too much food and not enough places to sit but it was
always fun. Ocassionally we would be able to talk my grandpa into
getting out the old family photos and tell us stories about growing up
in the hills of southeastern Kentucky and the time he spent in the Navy
in WWII. I wish that he'd done it more often.
On his last Christmas with us, I was home on leave from the Air Force.
He stayed off to himself...didn't quite feel well he said. No one knew
that less than a month later, he'd be gone. I miss him, the family
hasn't been the same.
SO, with that, what traditions do you have?

Hello!
I also have been having a difficult time with my gr gr grandmother and
tracking down who her parents may have been.
On the 1870 census of Elliott Co., Ky I have Carline listed in this index
and not Arlene. I have wondered if this is my gr gr grandmother who was Anna
Caroline Click who md Jesse Allen Sparks, "Bud" Sparks. Does this sound
familiar with anyone in your family? I have been trying to find out when she
died to track down a death certificate on her. She named one of her children
Julia.
On the marriage record of Anna Caroline Click she states her father was born
in Greenup Co., Ky.
