Greetings. :) I am descended from the Westmoreland Cliborns/Cleburnes through the American Immigrant, Edward. (there was at least two from this family, and no, Col. William Claiborne is not one of them). I have SOME data on the Early Cliborns in VA, and SOME data on the Westmoreland Cleburnes, but Im afraid what I have is far from complete. In fact, Im not even sure who Edward's parents are. I have a few theories, and I know who they are NOT. Please email me at ClibornFamily(a)yahoo.com and Ill send you what I have, and maybe you can send me some things too? I look forward to hearing from you.

I knew Van Cliburn as a kid. Our mothers visited several times in Kilgore, Texas. Unfortunately, I cannot prove the link except for personal memory. I'll share with anyone on what I have on this family.
