Hi Clayton, have you been able to get to the library to look at those books? and have you had any other luck with finding out about William ?? Hang in there and I think we should have a Roll Call and see if we can help each other out on the List..

All of the Kentucky Cliburn's are mine and you're right, most of them
were forced into it. I can't tell you how many of them were married a
few moths before their first born or a year after.
My Cliburn's are from Virginia to Kentucky to northern middle Tennessee.
They all married their second and third cousins and makes for a very
thin family tree.
If anyone else has any southern Cliburn's I'd be interested in hearing
from you. I'm just beginning to figure out the Cliburn, Claiborne,
Claiborn thing.

This is all of the info I have of these families but as I was putting
them in I got a very strange feeling, no I'm not one of those!, But do
you relize that each one of these people probly had the same giddy, I'm
getting married feeling that we too experienced!! I've been married for
35 years and we still have that feeling and all , well I'm sure there
were those that had a shot gun pointed at them as my Great Grandfather
did, not this surname. These Ancestors of ours, even though it seems
like a very rough time in history to us, didn't know any different and
they sky was blue and the sun was shine-ing and all was well to start on
a new adventure and have a family so that I /you could be here and learn
about them...
