Do you know where Johan Heinrich K is buried? My records show St. Pauls
(Old Forest) in Geigertown, but I do not find him there, nor at Plow -- both of
which are the logical places to look.
Dori
Dori,
thanks for the reply. My line comes from his 2nd wife Catherines son
"John" born abt 1787.
No, I havent been able to discover what Catherines maiden name was. I
have visited the church at St. peters often. I was born in
Phoenixville, Pa and when I left home at Birchrunville, PA , my
grandfather was still living with his daughter, my mother Beatrice
Elizabeth Clevenstine Hunsicker Hamilton. My grandfather (Harry Carl)
who was always known as carl clevenstine. He had married Alice C.
Bennett from west Chester, PA. Bea married my father sept 28 1935 and
I was born April 1937. Both mom and my stepfather, Carl and alice,
are buried near the top of the cemetary across the road from the
church. Carls mother Johanna and her parents are buried just below
them. The oldest Clevenstines are buried across the road under the
large oak tree about the middle of the old cemetary.
My Grand father died in 1977, my mother in 1978. My Father Clarence
Russel Hunsicker died suddenly in 1965.
I got a lot of my info from Sue Phillips who has a lot of info on the
Clevenstines. If you would like to compare info you could contact me
via u4x8x4gt(a)coastalnet.com.

I too am descended from Johan Heinrich Kliebenstine, through whom I entered
Daughters of the American Revolution --- he is recorded in PA ARIAS as Henry
Clevenson in Berks County. And subsequently added a supplemental Patriot, his
father-in-law Johan Georg Emerick who m. Elizabeth Haas(en).
I have a lovely picture of JHK's wife's grave stone (Anna Maria, 1758/1777).
I'd love to know what caused her early death at 19, already mother of two
babies. Illness connected to Revolutionary War, perhaps ? Have you visited
"St. Peter's Pikeland Cemetery" site? Many Emericks and Clevenstines buried
there, beautiful pictures of stones throughout the cemetery.
Has anyone ever found the family name for JHK's second wife, Catherine?
My line is Heinrich's son George, whose daughter Abigail (Appolonia) married
Daniel HOHL, which was my maiden name, my paternal line, centered in Robeson
Township, Berks County, PA.
Anything of interest here? I will be delighted to share if I have anything
new.

I am the great grandson of Johanna Clevenstine who was the mother of my Grandfathere, Harry Carl Clevenstine.b.1895 d. 1977. I have quite a lot of info on her line but not on the branch that you seem to have. I would appreciate what ever info you would be willing to share. I have traced my line back to Henrick Klebenstine.
My Grandfather and his mother and some of the line are all buried in the same church grave yard outside of Kimberton, Chester County, PA.
Thank you for your assistance.

I have the line back to their arrival in Centre County, PA ... and two generations prior to that. Exactly what are you seeking?
