The Times-Democrat (Lima, Ohio) 22 June 1876
“The first settlers on Sugar Creek in the original township bearing that name were four sons of Benjamin Clevenger, namely: Jacob, Samuel, George and Joseph who came from Franklin County, Ohio in the fall of 1830, and located on the land then owned by theirJames Clevenger, their half-brother, near where the town of Vaughnsville now stands. William Clevenger and family of which his brother John was a member, settled at the same time neaar where the town of Gomer naow stands. Shortly afterwards, in 1831, Daniel W. Gray, the first clerk of the Court of Putnam County, settled on Sugar Creek a short distance below where the Clevengers settled.”
This Benjamin was born in Bedford Co, PA and was in Randolph Co, (where
Winchester is) in 1900 and was the son of William Clevenger, who was the
son of Abraham Clevenger who fought in Rev. War from Bedford Co, PA.

My name is Sarah Elizabeth Clevinger but I was born 2/1/1979. My father's name is Daniel Mark Clevinger. My mothers name is Janice Koziak -Childs. I never met my real father only when I was 4 months old. I have an uncle who is my dad's twin brother David Clevinger, he is 69 and lives in Apopka, Fl. There birthdate is 1/5/1946. I guess its just a coincidence. My real father died in Las Vegas in 1988. I just found this out recently.
