Hi Mary Lee! I am descended from Squire Hamilton Clevinger (named for Alexander Hamilton), brother of William Harrison Clevinger (named for President William Harrison), so we are definitely distant cousins. Hamilton was my great grandfather. Both he and Harrison, as well as 6 of their brothers served in the Civil War on the Confederate side. Would love to hear from you! Cousin Leigh

He has never gotten to know anything about her nor has ever seen a picture of her. Because of her passing, his father had to give him and his siblings up for adoption. I am trying to hard to grant him his wish of learning about her and seeing a picture of her before his health gets worse but I am having a really hard time finding anything other than her birth, death, marriage, and burial. Please, if anybody knows anything or maybe knows somebody from the family that might know something & might have a few pictures, PLEASE let me know.

Do you know where in Illinois Lucille Clevenger was born?
There were two groups of Clevengers in the 1800s in ILLINOIS. One group was in Macoupin County, IL and the other Wayne County, IL.
The name Grnville has been carried down through lines connected with the West Virginia Cleavengers.
