Hello! I just saw your post regarding Cecelia Clevenger. Do you happen to have her date of birth or date of death? I have a Celia Clevenger who married Archibal Nelson Jones in TN, near Knoxville. Thanks for any information that you can give. She possibly had a brother named Reese/Reece. Thanks again!

George Burlington Clevenger 1714-1809 was George Washington Clevenger's great grandfather. Check Ancestry.com and it will give you the information for the connection from G W Clevenger to G B Clevenger.

The only information I have is what I have gotten off of Ancestry. You may want to check for information on George Burlington Clevenger as he would have been the right age to have served in the American Revolution.

I think the family of George Washington Clevenger born in 1770, that you mention, is perhaps the family of my George Washington Clevenger who died in Nacogdoches in 1865. You can find him and his family in Nacogdoches County, TX 1860 census. Note he also had a son named George Washington Clevenger. He appeared in Texas about 1840 at the age of about 45. So probably had been previously married.

I am showing in my genealogy that George Washington Clevenger's parents were George Clevenger born 1770 and died 1830 in Shenandoah County, VA. and Betty Low born about 1775. I have more information on this family line.

Looking for family history to tie George Washington Clevenger who moved to Texas in about 1839 to his roots in Virginia. He married Rebecca Robertson(Robinson)widow of James H. Langham in 1841 at Nacogdoches, and he died there in 1865. Census records indicate he was born in 1795 in Virginia.
