Gwen,
I noticed your comment on the forum today while I was researching our family tree. You mentioned that you are the grand-daughter of Harvey Clevenger and I see that your name is Gwen so that must mean that you are Anna Katherine's daughter? If so then you are my 4th cousin. Which would mean that your 3rd great grandfather, John Clevenger Sr., is also my 3rd great grandfather. I have quite a bit of information on your grandfather Harvey and the Clevengers before him, including pictures of him. If you would like to trade information I would love to talk with you. My name is Danna Marie (Clevenger) Kewish and my email is eddelweisse(a)hotmail.com. Hope to hear from you soon! As a side note for anyone else reading this related to the Clevenger family tree, I love to work with people on our family tree and I have information on quite a few Clevengers so please feel free to contact me also :)
Danna

Another piece of info that helps to confirm the Terre Haute census: John R.B. enlisted in the Union Army in 1862 in Terre Haute.

Yes, sorry, the 1850 census was in Blue River. 1860 was in Terre Haute. Ashford's birth info was found on FamilySearch, listing Bazzel and Margaret as parents.

The Indiana Marriages to 1850 databases lists a Zobina H. Brown marrying a *Mary* Clevenger on 23 Oct 1838 in Tippecanoe County.
The 1850 census lists a Z. H. Brown, age 38; *Mary*, age 34, John R., age 15 - all in Blue River township, *Johnson* County, Indiana.
Is this the information you're going on? I don't find any documentation with the details you provided.

I need to find records that show Ashford was Bazzel's son. I believe that he was born in Ohio abt 1810 as the first son of Bazzel and Margaret Wolf Clevenger. He married Margaret/Mary Jennings in 1834 in Tippecanoe, IN. I believe that they are the parents of my 2nd great grandfather, John Rosier Bailey Clevenger, born 1835. I also need confirmation of this. A Margaret Clevenger married Zebina Brown in 1838 so I think Ashford died between 1834 and 1838,and she remarried. They were living in Terre Haute in 1850 with a 15 year old boy named John R. If anyone has info regarding any of this I would appreciate it!
