BARTLESVILLE, Okla.
The Rev. Herbert H. Clevenger, 91, of Bartlesville, died Friday, Nov. 17, 2000.
Graveside services will be held at Edwards Cemetery in Oakville.
Visitation will be at Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Jane Phillips Hospice in care of the Bluestem Regional Medical Development Foundation, Bartlesville, 74006.
The Rev. Clevenger was born Jan. 1, 1909, in County, Mo.
He was an ordained minister of the Church of God (Holiness) and a school teacher. Over the years he was pastor at churches in Iowa, Missouri, Kansas and Tennessee. He was a member of Phi Delta Cappa and taught school at Oakville, Ripley, Tenn. and several church affiliated schools. He loved his Savior and Lord and cared deeply for his family, church families and students.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Lucetta S. Whitaker Clevenger; daughters, Vera Horn of Bartlesville, Donna Frazier and her husband, Joe, of Rayville, Mo. and Lois Wheeler and her husband, Kent, of Ozark, Mo.; a son, Herbert J. Clevenger and his wife, Louise, of Lamar, Colo.; eight grandchildren, Daniel Horn, Carol Horn, Frances Horn, Eric Birt, Derrick Birt, James Clevenger, Bradley Clevenger and Gary Clevenger; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Madison and Tennie See Clevenger; eight brothers; eight sisters; a daughter, Pansy Lou; a grandson, D.J. Frazier; and a great-grandson, Cody Smith.

Harley D. Clevenger, 63, Norfolk, died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002, at the Faith Regional Health Services Center, Norfolk.
Services are at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction. The Rev. Paul Ostrem will officiate. Burial will be at the Columbus City Cemetery with full military rites by the Alan Wright Hanft Post No. 100.
A memorial has been established for the Vietnam veterans.
He was born on Dec. 3, 1938, in Brainerd, Minn., the son of Pearlie and Pearl Hopps Clevenger. He married Shirley Longbine and they later divorced.
He served in the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army.
He was a truck driver and later a security guard for Carpet Mills, Dalton, Ga. He was also a skilled custom leather-worker.
He was a member of the Church of God, North Platte, Neb.
Survivors include three stepdaughters, Barbara Loving of Slidell, La., Sharon Longbine of Cozad, Neb. and Linda of Oklahoma, Okla.; a brother, Richard ?Dick? Clevenger of Letts; and a brother, Kenneth Clevenger of Marion, Ky.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, James; and a daughter, Brenda.

TIPTON, Iowa
Dayton D. Clevenger, 78, of 58 Lemon St., Tipton, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, Iowa City, after an extended illness.
Services are at the Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. The Rev. Norman Anderson will officiate. Musical selections will be provided by organist Deb Mohr and vocalist Nancy Hipple. Pallbearers are Christopher West, Zachary Kuehl, Dayton Clevenger, Ryan Siders and Larry Siders. Honorary pallbearers were Morris Walker, Bud Daufeldt, Lee Heick, Matthew Clevenger, Cory Clevenger and Jim Glick. Burial will be at Tipton Masonic Cemetery, Tipton.
Mr. Clevenger was born on June 5, 1924, in Walkerville, Mich., the son of William and Matilda Johnson Clevenger. He married Beverly Rose Hocking on May 24, 1947, in Hart, Mich.
He graduated from Hart High School in 1943.
He was employed by Walker Farms and the City of Tipton.
He was of the Methodist faith and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2537, the American Legion and past member of the Moose.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly of Mechanicsville; three daughters, Rose Marie West and her husband, Jody, of Heron, Ohio, Ruth A. Burns and her husband, Colin, of Casper, Wyo. and Rita J. Drager and her husband, Don, of Tipton; two sons, Russell C. Clevenger and his wife, Dawn, of Cannon Falls, Minn. and Roger W. Clevenger and his wife, Mary, of Security, Colo.; two brothers, Joseph Clevenger of Shelby, Mich. and Leroy Clevenger of Phoenix, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a brother-in-law, Harley Christmann; and a sister-in-law, Ivy Clevenger.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Martin Clevenger; and a sister, Amy Christmann.

Duane C. Clevenger, 52, of 130 Cedar Street, Fruitland, died Monday, Dec. 23, 2002, at his home.
Services are at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. The Rev. Prince Swamickan of the Island United Methodist Church will officiate. Pallbearers are Matthew Clevenger, Ryan Miller, Jeremy Drake, Jeff Riggan, David Riggan and Duc Nguyen.
Burial will be in Island Cemetery.
Mr. Clevenger was born Oct. 6, 1950, in Muscatine, the son of Glen Clevenger and Joan Sands Grim. He married Kathy Hankins on Oct. 16, 1976, in Muscatine.
He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of the Island United Methodist Church and the V. F. W. Post 1565.
He retired from the Fruitland Fire Department. He retired from Bandag in 1998.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Clevenger of Fruitland; two sons, Matthew Clevenger and Lucas Clevenger, both of Fruitland; his parents, Glen and Verlee Clevenger of Illinois and Joan and Everett Grim of Nichols; his brother and sisters, Russell and Sharyl Grim of Nichols, Linda and Roy Koser of Nichols, and Becky and Denny Bayers of Phoenix, Ariz.; his in-laws, Joe and Kathy Hankins of Montpelier; two brothers-in-law, Greg and Jan Hankins of Cedar Falls; and Joe and Marie Hankins of England; two sisters-in-law, Cheryl and Jeff Reed of Muscatine, and Eavon and Dan Lingle of Muscatine; many step and half brothers and sisters; and many nieces and nephews.

Lucetta S. Whitaker Clevenger, 89, Winchester, Kan., died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2005, at Jefferson County Geriatric Center, Winchester.
The Rev. Dennis West will officiate the services. Burial will be at Edwards Cemetery, Oakville.
Memorials may be made to Jefferson County Memorial Hospital & Geriatric Center, Winchester. The Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, Atchison, Kan. was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Clevenger was born Jan. 25, 1916, in rural Oakville, the daughter of Levi and Bessie Whisler Whitaker. She married Herbert H. Clevenger on June 11, 1938, in Keokuk. He preceded her in death Nov. 17, 2000.
She attended schools in Oakville.
She was a gracious minister's wife, loving mother and dedicated spiritual example to those around her. She served in her role with a compassionate, sweet, spirit and stood at her husband's side as he ministered to churches in Iowa, Missouri, Kansas and Tennessee. She was a member of the Church of God Holiness.
She enjoyed embroidery, gardening and especially her family.
Survivors include a son, Herbert J. Clevenger and wife Louise of Lamar, Colo.; three daughters, Vera M. Horn of Bartlesville, Okla., Donna L. Frazier and husband Joe of Rayville, Mo. and Lois M. Wheeler and husband Kent of Atchison; a brother, Hilbert Whitaker of Oakville; a sister, Edna Whitaker of Oakville; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Pansy Lou Clevenger; her parents; a stepmother, Esther Whitaker; five brothers, Virgil, Johnny, Levi, Charlie and Alfred Whitaker; a sister, Mary Peck Curtis; a grandson, D.J. Frazier; and a great-grandson, Cody Smith.
