Hi Paula - It's possible we are related. My mom (now deceased) spoke of "Uncle Bill" and I believe he had a son named Henry.
The details grow fuzzy to me now, but my grandfather was David Marion Clevenger, and some of his sibs were Bill, Norris, Hannah, John. Can't recall add'l, but I think there was another. David was born in Queen City, MO, near the Iowa border.
His father was James M Clevenger and mother was Sarah Logsdon.
Let me know if you have questions.
Karen

I am researching the Clevengers. My grandmother was a Clevenger. Her
grandfather, Annanias Clevenger came from Cocke Co. TN to Ray Co. MO. I
would like to get invited to the private Clevenger website. Would you send
me an invitation?

I know I am really back tracking, but I was reading your first email and I remembered remembered something that I've overlooked all this time. I don't know if you were interested in the private Clevenger web site or if I sent you an invitation to visit it. There is a picture of Ira Arthur, his wife and a child. If the "clevenger(a)rootsweb.com is your personal email address, and you haven't seen the web site, I'll send you an invitation so you can check it out. It doesn't cost a cent. It's there to give our family a chance to get to know one another and share information, pictures, etc. Let me know.
Love, Mary

Subject: Re: [CLEVENGER] William Joseph Jasper Clevenger md. Mary Jane Cox in MO
John and Cecelia,
I have been out of town so much lately that I con't remember if I answered your email. My great-grandfather is James MacDonald Clevenger, brother to Ira Authur. I don't know how I left him off the list of brothers because his name has always stuck in my mind, for some reason. I don't have any additional information him but I would love to know more. Did you see my family tree that I have started on Ancestry? It's Mary's Clevenger Family a Work in Progress, I think!
There is a private Clevenger web site that I can send you an invitation with a temporary email address so you can check it out. There is no cost for using this web site, it's completely free. I know you can get a great deal of facts on the internet, but this site photos of some of the other brothers and sisters and also William Joseph Jasper and Mary Jane Cox, ect. You can contact me directly at mary_musia(a)yahoo.com and I can send you a personal invitation to visit the web site.
Hope to hear from you soon. I, personally, would like to know what information you have on the Clevengers. I don't know where you live, but I live in central Texas (Waco) and I'm taking my daughter to Austin (100 Miles one way) to the doctor for a check up following surgery last week. I would love to visit with you more.
Sincerely, Mary

I am a descendant of this family. It is interesting to see your listing of children. I have not been able to confirm all 16 children you have but think your list is probably fairly accurate. However, your list is missing their youngest child, Ira Arthur Clevenger, born 25 June 1894. I know he exists as he is my grandfather. There are a lot of descendants of William and Mary researching. Would love to compare the myths about the family and information.

Would you please send me copies of the pictures of Pleasant and Lucy's gravesite? I've just started searching the Clevenger family as a favor for my father, Cordis Clevenger. Pleasant is his GGrandfather.
Cordis is the son of Add and Stella (Fraley) Clevenger.
Thank you so much.
