Hi Mary,
I picked up your response and thought i'd throw in my line.
I'm searching a Hannah Cline b.10 Feb. 1800. She was born in
Ohio then believed to have born children in Ill. then appears in
Mahaska Co. Iowa on 1856 Ia. census. I have never been able
to determine her maiden name or her husband's given name.
I just wondered if we have the same Hannah. She would be my father's, father's,mother's, mother.
Hope we connect and hope to hear from you.
Thanks so much
Don
Here is a message from an administrator from another mail list. Ths virus
acts im such a way that is looks like it is coming from rootsweb mail
lists. Rootsweb checks all mail before it sends it out, so don't worry
about that. Read on and see how the virus works.

Hi, Everyone,
Typically, I wouldn't encourage virus alerts on RootsWeb mailing lists, but
since this new version of the Bad Trans virus is wreaking havoc, I think I
have to say something. I haven't been able to receive e-mail for the last
24 hours and have just caught up on my (200+) messages on the web. I don't
think I saw anything from the SC lists, but I have from TN and CT.
There is a concern that the mailing lists themselves are spreading the
virus. In a way, that is true, because this virus spreads by sending
itself to the senders of all unread messages in the infected computer's
e-mail program. Since RootsWeb filters out not only virus messages but
any attachments, I don't believe the RW computer is the culprit.
All that being said, this is a very bad virus that is spreading like
wildfire. It's arrived in my mailbox no fewer than fifty times this week.
Norton Anti Virus does catch it. I would suggest you read up on this one
and make sure your anti-virus software is updated regularly. You can find
links to McAfee and Symantec (Norton) on this page:
http://www.patsabin.com/etiquette.htm
This virus arrives with no subject line, so don't even preview a message
that fits this description. Better yet, turn off your preview option.
There are others that seem to be making a comeback right now, too, so just
be really careful!

Thanks for the information on Sarah Clevenger and Raymond Barnes. Does anyone know if they had any children and what their names were? I believe Raymond Barnes was the son of Zachariah and Ann Nancy Ray Barnes, which would make him a nephew of Stephen Barnes, Leticia Hatcher Clevenger's second husband. To add to this confusion, it would appear Harriet Clevenger, Sarah's younger sister married Raymond's nephew Zachariah. I would like to correspond with anyone on the Clevenger list who is a direct descendant of Raymond and Sarah Clevenger Barnes. My email address is mertie1(a)kc.net.
Thanks for your help
Mertie
While researching my Barnes/Clevenger line I came across a marriage record for Raymond Barnes who married Sarah Clevenger 24 Jan/Jun 1856 in Clay/Ray County MO. (some of the information is conflicting) . Does anyone know anymore about the pedigrees of these two people?
Thanks for your help
Mertie

Dear Cousin Johanna:
The words you wrote concerning the Clevengers was the same
information I got from my grandmother Nancy Jane Brightwell
Clevenger who reared me. She told me that over and over
as a young boy. She was the wife of John Clevenger who
was the son of Asa Clevenger and Elizabeth Hanks.
I would like to exchange genealogical data with you. My E-mail address is jvbetzer(a)home.com.

I am looking for info on my ggrandfather, John Dickinson s/o Alonzo Dickinson s/o Renaldo Dickinson. John was born in Tx, unknown area or date, and married Mary Todd (d/o Robert McQueen Todd) of Milam Co. in 1898. He died in Lufkin, Tx abt 1903 from a hunting accident wound. He lived in Rusk or Rusk Co at the time, but was sent by train to Lufkin Hospital. Alonzo's spouse was Rebecca (Beckie) Cates d/o Samuel Cates and Lucy Newby. Alonzo's children were: John, Samuel, Ada, Ida, Ephe, and Lonnie. Ada and Ida resided in the Damon Mound and Round rock area. Ada married John Kilsby, and Ida m. Noland Tennis. I believe that May lived in Tulsa, Ok and married Roy Cates. If anyone can help me with this lineage, I would be forever grateful.
Thanks, and God Bless.......Vollena

I have no information on Mary MEAD, but I am definitely interested in the parents of Joshua CLEVENGER. I have an ancestor, John CLEVENGER, who was born sometime between 1795 and 1803, presumably in Kentucky. John CLEVENGER was the son of James and Martha (McGRAW) CLEVENGER.
