Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Hi everyone. I want to thank Ruth for sending me a couple of old Clevenger
photos she has. She was told that one was Benjamin and Margaret Clevenger
and family and the other is George P. Clevenger with Sarah and family.
I have added these photos to my Unknown Clevengers album. You can view it
by going to my homepage at http://www.LoriCamper.com and clicking on
"Photos" and then "Click here to view my albums." The albums are listed in
alphabetical order, so "Unknown Clevengers" will be towards the
bottom. Each photo is numbered for reference, and each album has a
guestbook that you can leave your comments--hopefully we can get some of
these photos identified.
I have moved my photos to a different server, so the albums themselves my
look different

Old people are like libraries on fire. We must read their books before
it's too late.
For two weeks there is free access to ANCESTRY.COM.

It is hard to use because it searches only the precise spelling that you enter
and you have to think of all the possible alternate spellings. The program also
demands a LOT of cookes. But in spite of this you may find some good leads.
Sarah Clevenger
Your picture might be of Mary Jane Cornutte who married Alexander Clevenger (s/o
Joshua) on 17 Aug 1862 Lawrence Co. KY. In 1880 they were in Fannin Co, TX.
She died 12 Feb 1926 Shawnee, Pottawatomie Co, OK . Alex and Mary Jane were
listed in the 1910 census in OK.

I'm sorry; the earlier message below didn't say much. The lady in the picture would have been the wife of (possibly) a sibling of Tolbert, son of Joshua C. and Mary Mead; Joshua was the son of Levi C. and Nancy Elswick....
I was going through some old pictures my Mom had. Came across one of an older woman, 70's or so, long hair combed over her shoulder to her lap. She is wearing what appears to be a leather dress. On the back is, in my Mom's hand writing, "Jayne Clevenger My Grandpa Clevenger's [Tolbert ?] brother's wife. they lived in Oklahoma years ago."
Any help??
