Your best bet is to research the Whipples. Quite likely Viola was the
daughter of William Clevenger, 26, carpenter,b IN on page 699:45/43 in
Randolph Co, Franklin Twp in 1860 census. Wife, Eliza A., 22, OH with
children Isadore 4, IN and Maxwell P. 1 6/12 IN. This William might be
the William age 16 in the family of Jonathan and Celia Clevenger in
Grant Co, IN in 1850 in Mill Twp. After Jonathan died Celia (Selah)
married Jason Whipple.
Hope this helps.
Sarah Clevenger
This is the correct info. My Great-Great Grandfather was William
Clevenger,
wife Elizabeth Ann Whipple, Their daughter Viola Bell Clevenger was
born in
Deerfied Indiana 18 June 1861.

I have never seen "MY" Clevenger's names listed. My great - grandfather
was John Clevenger, I was told he was born in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada.
27 Sept 1853. His mother was Elizabeth Ann Whipple ,father William
Clevenger..
John Married Viola Bell Clevenger Jan 14 1876 and died in Warroad MN 28
Aug 1936.
Does anyone know these Clevengers ?
Carol
do you have any more information on William or Elizabeth, like perhaps
birthdates? Clevengers generally migrated here from England, since it is a
english name but it is possible that one ended up in Canada. We have several
Williams and Johns and they were married to an elizabeth but no maiden names
have ever been determined. What more do you know about her?
jackie clevenger
we have one Elizabeth that we have been searching for, for over 20 years
