Subject: George CLEVENGER
Hi,
I am a descendant of a George Clevenger from the early to mid
1700s. I have no other dates or names for him. However, his son, Levi
Clevenger was born about 1770, and married Nancy Elswick (?) in
Montgomery County VA on 10/21/1794.
Their son Alexander, b.1795 married Elizabeth CHILDERS, daughter
of Pleasant Childers and Sarah Jeffries. Below is the remainder of my
line. Please tell me if you have any information as to whether your line
of Georges and my George might be related.
Myself
my father, George Woodrow Childers b.1913
his mother, Maude Moore b.1893
her father George W. Moore b.1847
his mother, Mary "Polly" Clevenger b. 1825
her father Alexander Clevenger b.1795
his father Levi Clevenger b.1770
his father George Clevenger ???
Your page is the first I've found in months of searching that might give
me clues as to George's family.
Thanking you in advance,
Joyce Wallace
Take a look at the 1900 Nebraska census 22-123-3-28
You will find John Z. and Tabitha with kids
Seth b. Nov 1887 MO
Mora b. Dec 1891 MO
Gretta b. Dec 1899 MO.
I would like the detailed records of the 1910 census records you mentioned in
your email.
Thanks
Sarah Clevenger

Candee;
Catherine Clevenger b. 1792 Frederick Co., VA., Youngest daughter of
William Clevenger (ca 1747-) and Frances ACKER b. 1745, m. 3-29-1812 to
Joseph VAN METRE.
Hope that helps;
Cuz Paul ODLE
Noticed on the Ancestry file there is a Catherine Clevenger who married Joseph
Van Meter. She was born about 1791. Any one know whose family she belongs to.

Some of you may get duplicate copies of this mailing, for which I apoligize.
With Christmas fast approaching, I had nothing else to do <gr>, so I
decided to transcribe some notes I had extracted from the 1850 Ray Co., MO
census records. This is ONLY for DISTRICT #95, Ray Co. It is for
Dwellings/Families #730-744, and I don't remember whether it is the
complete district or not.
Included is the Dwelling/Family #, names, age, sex, and state of birth. I
have also inserted the wives' maiden names where I know them from other
sources. I have put this in a Word document, which I will send to anyone
interested.
Please put 1850 CENSUS in the subject line.
Most of the surnames are: ALLEN, CLEVENGER, FRAKES, JONES, KEENEY, KENDALL,
LOYD, MCCOY, and QUICK. I would estimate there are over 100 names listed.
If you cannot use a Word document, I can send it as plain text.
Also, if I don't get back to you right away, it's probably because my mail
server is down again. It's been having problems lately. But I will get it
off to you as soon as I can.
Have a wonderful holiday!
Judy

What does anyone know about the Thomas Clevenger who married Alse
Wheeler in Shenandoah Co, VA 16 Dec 1810? I have seen a birth date of
1767 but no source was given so it is probably a guestimate.
Any help would be appreciated.
