Success! Reverend Cleveland applied for a social security number at
age 64. SSA had his application on file, so now I know his place of
birth and parents' names:
Rev. William Erval (not Earvel) Cleveland
Born 20 Oct 1877 in Cleburne, Johnson, Texas
Died 27 Apr 1971 in Costa Mesa, Orange, California
Father: William Earl Cleveland from South Carolina
Mother: Caroline Teasley from Georgia
Does anybody recognize the parents? I haven't found anything on them
yet but just got their names yesterday.

That's a really nice try. He could turn out to be the Reverend's father
(near match on middle name and other similarities), or grandfather or
other relative.

I believe you're missing the first born son:
William b. 1849 in Georgia
See family #1759 (living with Anderson in-laws):

The other William Earles Cleveland (family #1752) is your William Earles
Cleveland's father's cousin. He was also born in Cleveland's Ferry, SC,
around 1812. All in all there were five William Clevelands in the 1850
Murray County census. Do you know why so many Clevelands moved there from
South Carolina?

I've "rescued" an old family bible belonging to the FELLOWS Family of New
York. The information contained in the bible is as follows:

Based on limited research I found Martin L. & Margaret SMITH living in
Claverack, NY during the 1880 census along with two children, Emory age 24,
and Alta age 19. All were listed as born in NY as were all of their
parents. Martin was a Carpenter by trade, Emory was a Telegraph Operator,
and Alta was working in the Cotton Mill.
Records indicate that Jonathan FELLOWS was born in Claverack, NY and that
his parents were Philemon FELLOWS and Martha ELTON. His first wife, Maria
CLEVELAND was b. at Canterbury, CT to parents Eliphas CLEVELAND and Anna
PELLETT and died at Taghkanic, NY. It appears that all of their children
were born in Claverack, NY. Their son William FELLOWS married Catharine M.
HOLENBECK or HALLENBECK and had at least one child, Henry B. FELLOWS b. 14
Nov 1839 in Hudson, NY.
Son John FELLOWS and his wife Caroline were living in Claverack, NY during
the 1880 census along with a niece, Carrie DELAMATER age 19. John's wife
Caroline was listed as age 64 at the time, all born in NY. Son Henry
FELLOWS and wife Catharine RANNEY were living in Copake, NY during the 1880
census. Catharine was listed as age 59, born in NY, working in the
Millinery. Records indicate that they had a son, Henry Parker FELLOWS b. 4
Aug 1849 at Copake, NY.
I'm hoping to see the bible returned to its rightful place with family. If
you are a member of this family, or know someone who might be, please
contact me.
Thanks,
Shelley
