I am desc. fr. Moses and Ann Winn Cleveland...a few generations after them
sisters marry brothers... I am desc from Josiah and Joanna Porter Cleveland.
Her sis Susanna married Josiah's bro. Aaron. Susanna and Aaron are the gr x3
parents of Pres. Cleveland. But because sisters marr. brothers I have
several ancestral families in common with a few presidents, one who's in the
white house now! Really. I don't have my info. readily handy but will check
later.
But offhand, a few generations after Josiah and Joanna, Horatio and Cynthia
Carley Cleveland ended up in Texas. Thier dau. Sally Maria was the mother of
my great-great grandmother, Lucinda Jane Bolton Jones Cunningham. Sally
married Michael Lee Bolton. Lucinda had a twin, Erastus Alexander, and they
had a few other siblings. Any hoot, Lucinda, widowed at 17 w/ a dau.,
married a 2nd time to 45 or 46 yr. widower with 9 kids, James Cunningham.
She went onto have 10 kids with James. I desc. from thier son Cornelius M.
'Neal', whose dau. was my father's mother.
Whew!

I am looking for information on the family of George F. and Harriet CLEVELAND who lived in Dupont Township, Waupaca County, Wisconsin.
George was b.1836-39 (varies by census) in NY.
He married a widow, Harriet HUNT bet.1856-1860. Harriet was b. abt. 1831 in OH.
She had at least two children by her first marriage:
Peter HUNT b.abt 1853, WI
George HUNT b.abt 1855, WI
George and Harriet had at least four children together:
Francis (Franklin) CLEVELAND b.abt 1861
Freeman CLEVELAND b.abt 1865
Effie CLEVELAND, b. abt 1871
Delevan CLEVELAND, b. abt 1873
I believe Harriet Hunt Cleveland may be the mother of my g.g.grandmother, Phebe Hunt, b. 1851.
Do you know Harriet's maiden name? Was it MOREHOUSE?
Do you know the name of her first husband?
I would like to find out more about this family to help determine if I've found the right Harriet or not.
Thank-you for any help you may be able to offer!
