Grandpa's cousin sent me a letter in the mail today that was
written to her December 17, 1941 by my great-grandmother,
Sarah Jane Cleveland. Sarah Jane's father, Thomas Milton
Cleveland, was born in Pickens County, SC, in 1850, and
moved to Panola County, TX, between 1860 and 1872. He and
several other family members are buried at Corinth Cemetery
in Shelby County. I do not know what other family members
came to Texas with him. This letter matches the names
siblings that I know about, but do not have much more on
their families.
"dad [Thomas Milton Cleveland] only had one brother and one

Hi folks,
Just in case you haven't noticed delayed messages or messages that you've
posted haven't showed up, it's because Rootsweb has had some problems with
one of their computers that handles one of the main list categories.
Apparently, according the message that I just received from them, it wasn't
correctable in a timely manor, so they moved the list to another server for
the time being. This does affect some of my lists, but at this time, I'm
not sure which ones. So if you notice that your message was delayed, that's
the reason. That's not the worst part of it. They had to use the back up
files to reinstall, so there will be problems with subscriptions. Some that
were unsubscribed, will now be subscribed, and some that were subscribed,
will now be unsubscribed! I don't know of an easy way to take care of this,
but please bear with me for awhile. It will be a mess with subscriptions
for awhile, until we get everyone back that was subscribed. I'm sure that
I'll receive some hate mail over this, but it was nothing that any listowner
had any type of control over at all.
Rootsweb works very hard to ensure the smooth operation of their domain, but
as in any business, especially computer controlled business, there are bound
to be problems from time to time. I'm very impressed that they don't have
more problems than they do! So hang in there folks and Rootsweb and I will
get this mess under control, I promise!
