I don't have the parents of your Robert Cleaveland in the database, but I do
have his birthplace listed as Yarmouth, Norfolk, England, in case that bit of
information is helpful. In a note for Maria, I have that she was the
daughter of James and Mary McBean Arnold.
Good luck with your research!
Love and blessings,
Vikki

Does anyone have information on a Robert Cleaveland, born 12 May 1794, place
unknown, who married Maria Arnold in Digby, Nova Scotia , and died 27 Dec
1866 Raleigh Township, Kent County, Ontario.
They had several children:
John Henry, b. 1821 Digby County, NS
Mary, b. 1823 Digby County, NS
George William, b. 1826 Digby county, NS
Robert, b. 1827 Digby County, NS
Jane, b. 1829 Digby County, NS
Phoebe, b. 1830 place unknown
James, b. 1835 Kent County, ONT
and possibly:
Maria, b. 1837 Kent County, ONT
Nancy, b. 1842 Kent County, ONT
Silas, b. 1844 Kent County, ONT
I am seeking confirmation of the last three children, as well as any
information about the parents of either Robert Cleaveland and Maria Arnold.
Thanks!!
Does anyone out there have Cleveland's in VT area. My aunt married a

John,
Thanks for the info. So far I have been unable to connect to Jesse or
Mahala. I can't connect with Roger or Moses lines either.
Because of changing boundary lines during this time period, researching TN is
not exactly easy. Local researchers have suggested we keep an eye of Hardin
Co., Warren Co., and Coffee Co. for this reason.
I feel there is a connection with our Clevelands, but have been unable to
find it.
Has anyone found a link between:
1. TN Clevelands and Campbells in NC?
2. TN Clevelands and Hendersons in NC?
3. TN Clevelands and Johnsons in NC?
The time period would be something like 1805-1850. I'm just guessing at the
years. I know my Eli Cleveland married Jane (last name unknown) from NC and
his son David Cleveland married Harriett Elizabeth Campbell who was from NC.
Two of their sons had "Henderson" and "Johnson" as middle names. So far I
have been unable to track the female lines into NC.
I am sharing your email with my Cleveland researchers who are not online.
Maybe someone will turn over the right stone yet!
Good luck in your research and thanks for your help.
:-) Margie
Looking for anyone with info on CENA CLEVELAND b. 18 December 1837 d. 28
August 1914 TN. Married: Samuel Jackson GLAZE, I am trying to find out her
parents.
Thanks
Denise,
I don't have any information on Clevelands in Indiana. So far I haven't
tracked any of mine to Indiana.
Where in TN was Evan Cleveland in 1812? I have a friend working on another
line of the Clevelands and there is a great possibility she can help
you...just need to know where in TN?
I have no information about parents and siblings of Eli. He stated on Grundy
County TN census that he was born in Scotland in 1785. I feel sure I am
dealing with a name change and have also checked Clelland, McClellan,
McClelan, Cleaveland, and my best hopes rest with Kneland or McKneland. As
you can tell, I am grasping at straws.
Margie
Denise, have you talked to Barry Cleveland of Carmi, IL about Evan? I know
Barry has done alot of work on Evan but haven't talk to him in several
years. There were a bunch of Clevelands around Possey Co. IN , White ,
Saline , and Franklin Co, IL from 1820/30 and on.
Good luck, John
