Thank you so much! I have been working on this sence 1980. It took me years to figure out that I was on the wrong trail. My grandfather and one sister changed the spelling to what they believed to be the original spelling. Years of grave hopping and thinking that Courthouse's where my second home helped me figure out that they changed it totally different. G G grandfather Dennis Clendenin came from Canada abt 1865, found him in Brea, Ohio as GLendenning, misspelled, there are a lot of Glendennings in ohio. Dennis moved to Port Huron , MI abt 1870 found as Glendenin (also on his headstone) and then about 1927 or so Grandpa Elgin and sister Pearl changed it to. Glendenning. I have a letter from relative stating this. I will wait for you to get back to me. Thank you very much.

no, I have not put it anywhere except in my files. I had a hard job getting
info on him. I have not worked on it for a while. I will have to look in
my files. You did not find anything on them there in Ancestry.com? My
grandmother was a Clendenning and I have some information on Clendenning and
James was in that line also. Give me a little time and I will see what I can
come up with. I think James was her father. I have a pictures of their
reunions, one at least. I will try to get back to you as soon as I have time to
look for my information. OK?
