Hello,
We've received the latest results from SNP testing (single nucleotide polymorphism). This gentleman lives in the US but traces his family tree back to northern England and is a haplogroup J2.
Since the majority of the individuals in our project are R1b haplogroup this came as a big surprise.
It is highly possible and most probable that the surname Glendenning was taken from a location when surnames became established. Although my supposition could be thrown in the trash if there was further research on this branch of the tree.
