Found the following in Old Swede Church records, New Castle Co., DE
Baptismal notation reads: "Samuel, illegitimate, born October 27th, baptised
26th, parents, Joseph Day and Elizabeth Clindenone."
There is a Joseph Day who appears in various VA records in connection with
the Clendenins. Any speculations?
I'm interested in the births and deaths you have from Texas -- that's where
my folks are from and I don't have a lot of info on them.

Folks,
I have responded to this young woman giving her basic information she should
be collecting if she is truly interested in doing family research.
However -- bells are ringing as she purports to be 17 (under legal age and
therefore legally a minor) and the fact that she apparently has not asked
her parents for information.
Let's be real careful here.

I enjoy using genforum, address below. They have forums by surname, by state and by counties within states.
It is great because you can see everyone's questions and replies. It has helped me sort out my Hitchcocks.
I go back once a month and check to see if anything helpful has appeared.

I don't know if you are all aware of it or not, but there is a giant size
project on-line called USGenWeb. The address is http://www.usgenweb.com.
This website includes all 50 individual states and each state includes all
the counties in that state. Most of them have lookup volunteers and places
where you can place queries. They all have mailing lists just like this one.
By going to http://www.rootsweb.com you can find a location to subscribe to
those county mailing lists.
If you're stuck in a particular area of research this may be the best way to
go about getting faraway help on-line. Give it a try.
If you're looking for a Clendenin of ANY spelling check out the new
information I am inputting onto our website in the Gedcom.
Sharon
Mary,
I don't know if I missed this, but when/where are the marriages, etc. from?
I am particularly interested in Missouri and Texas Clendennins. Haven't
been able to get it back further than that.

Dear Sharon,
I probably have 50+ Clendenin marriages with documentation from county
courthouses. I also have birth/death certificates, some wills and
pictures of gravestones. Do you have a format in mind for receiving
this info? Do you want actual copies or just an email message?
