I often go to our local mormon research centre here order in parish records.
Did get some Parish records from Kirkcudbright and Dumfriess, Found several
Glendinnings on them, which I photocopied.Noticed quite a few Glendinnings
on the Scottish Records
Ordered in Co Wexford Records from Ireland where I found my gggrandparents
Marriage Listed there...William Clendinnen and Lydia Deaker(D'Acre).am
thinking of ordering in more irish records see what Glendinnings etc i Can
find on them,.,Tho many Irish records were Destroyed:( But will order in
what i can for what records still exist...
If I find any more of these glendinning records in Ireland that may be of
use can photocopy and snail mail to u if u like.

Castle and Margaret, who was born 5 April 1671 may have settled in Drumragh

I just posted the final results for John Mark Clendening. He is a match on 24/25 markers with Randal and George Clendenin, who are both descendants of Joseph Clendenin and Ann(e) Webb. He is also a 23/25 match with Don Clendenin.
I have given you the oldest known ancestor for both Mark and Randal/George below. You will notice that Robert Clendening was born in Co. Tyrone, IRE in 1810 while Joseph's father, William (NC) was also born in Ireland, but in Co. Down according to the parish records there.
Now would be a great time for some more discussion on this list, i.e., Clendenin-DNA-l(a)rootsweb.com. This is one of the nicer matches that's been reported so far.

HAIKEY
Jessie L. HAIKEY, was born March 9, 1904 in Broken Arrow. He died July
31, 1980, in Tulsa. Funeral services were held at Haikey Indian
Methodist Church in Broken Arrow officiated by Jesse SULLIVAN and
Willie GOODEN. Interment was in the Bixby Cemetery.
He served in the Merchant Marines and was a heavy construction worker
until returning to Broken Arrow, where he worked for the Tulsa County
Road Department for 20. His interest in art and Indian artifacts led
him to join with a co-owner to established the Two Feathers Indian
Shop in Broken Arrow.
His survivors include one daughter, Lavonne SPRADLING of Bixby; his
grandchildren, Shawna and Jack SPRADLING; one sister, Ruby PARKER; one
great-grandson, Jason SPRADLING; one step-daughter, Morna CLENDENING,
and two step-grandchildren, Ted and Tina CLENDENING.

This cemetery is located on Robbin Hill, just beyond Clendening Corners on the right
of Cable Hollow Road. It was incorporated in 1893. There are many graves without a marker
and some gravestones have deteriorated so no information could be obtained.

William and Sabrina Cook Robbins are buried on the old homestead across the New York

Yes, I'd like to know also where John comes into the picture and who his
parents and siblings really are since this is my line and from what I can gather
from all this, is the info our family has had for over 60 years or more about
John's parents being William Glendening and Roseanne Kirkpatrick is not
correct. Arrrrgh, this is frustrating!
I can only prove back to John... he's the one born in 1733 who married
Margaret Steele and lived in Lancaster Co., PA as did many of their descendants.

I am one Aussie Clendinnen Researcher, who agrees with u too re the William
Glendinning and Roseanne Kirkpatrick lineage, that the William From Co Down
married Rose Fisher.
I have noticed tho on several lineage trees on roots web, they have only
stated Ninian Glendonwyn had one marriage, yet from what i understand there
were 2..Therefore i think thats why some folks are getting confused re this
whole scenario re williamglendinning and roseanne kirkpatrick, as if u
follow just that ninian only had one marriage then , u will find it leads to
the william glendinning of dumfriess, but his second marriage leads to
william of kirkcudbright...the william of co down.

Ohhh by the way the William of NC Have there been found to be a sibling
connection to the John who went to PA???Just curious.

Just corresponded with Cathy O'Hare (SawdustSuzy) who is a descendant of Adam and Winifred through son, Robert and his wife, Martha ANDERSON
Now it occurred to me that Adam (b c 1740) might be a brother of James Clendenen (b c 1736) who married Margaret ANDERSON.
I've got mentions of Adam in the Montgomery Co., VA records from 1782 (property tax list) to 1791 when he was to be paid by his son-in-law, Ferdinand Hamilton for traveling to testify in a Greenbrier Court case.
Do we have a male Clendenen descendant of Adam's who would be willing to be tested?

I, wholeheartedly agree with you. Look for example at William Clendening b
1680 d 1764 in Ireland married to Roseanne Kirkpatrick. I'm afraid that I'm
the one who put that out there (even though I said "probably" or "supposed
to be") and now that it appears that there is no Clendening-Kirkpatrick
connection I can't get anyone to pay attention.
But there are people over on GenForum (guess they don't know we exist on
Rootsweb) who have gotten some of the craziest ideas or they're just
starting and they don't know where to start.
All I'm saying is that if you go over there and look and someone has posted
a name you recognize and you can offer the briefest of information to point
them in the right direction that, I think, would help immensely.
Got to go. My flower garden calls loud and clearly that it needs help. As
soon as I get it whipped into shape I'll be able to spend more time on
research. Still trying to clean/shape up after Isabel.

Let me address the issue of deeds for just a minute.
When you are dealing with families where there are contemporaries (almost
always grandsons named for some ancestor to honor that ancestor) and the
Christian names are the same, you need not only to look at deeds but also
the legal description of the land being sold or devised.
For example, we have a Fisher Clendenin/v/s and then there are some who may
have been grandsons of his or possibly nephews. They're all born within a
few years of each other. Their fathers all leave them land of one sort or
another. Only by actually looking at the legal description of the land can
you figure out which Fisher belongs to which father.
Not only are you going to have to look at the land that is being sold but
you are also going to have to look at the legal of description of the land
the FATHER bought or received.
Hope that helps when the hubby goes to LDS.

P.S. Sometimes I have had remarkably good luck by just writing to the
Recorder at the county where the land is located and asking for photocopies
of the grantee-grantor indexes for the surname I'm researching. With that in
hand you can make a decision on what specific deeds you want to take a look
at.
