Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Hello,
I have just today accepted the administratorship of the Clendenin mailing
list. I have been the administrator for the Clendinen mailing list since its
inception.
There are only about a dozen subscribers on this list including myself while
there are approximately 150 on the Clendinen list.
You are perfectly welcome to continue on this list but you will reach a
wider audience if you subscribe to the Clendinen list. That list encompasses
all variant spellings of the name and all are welcome.
I have spoken to the mailing list administrators at Rootsweb about combining
the two lists and freeing up band space. Apparently once a list is started
it stays in existence, so ---

I had a Clendenin [however your spell it] in MO. I know hardly anything about
her.
She was Eliza - married Truman Day in 1842. Ring any bells? One child's death
certificate says she was born in Scotland and another says Ohio.

Can anyone help her.
Donna
Did everyone get the message I sent out last week, I know Sharon's came back.
I found a site that has help me a lot, my Clendenin were in Mo. before I knew
they were. The site is www.glorecords.blm.gov/logon/logon.asp BLM - ES, GLO Records
- Search Land Patents or you can click on this. It is government land
records, you can also down load the copies of the deeds. My Alexander and
John both bought land in Mo. before 1852, so try this site. There is some
states that are not on the list yet, NC and NY or two of them.
