I am posting this to 4 Mailing Lists, so I apologize if you receive it more

I recently found a Charles Lewis who was brother-in-law of Rufus Burrows,
and who moved back and forth between Eldorado County, California and
Tualatin co., Oregon circe 1850's. He was married to Rufus's sister...I
believe his half-sister...a Hitchcock, first name unknown, who was the
daughter of Rufus's mother Nancy Rice and his step-father, Rufus Hitchcock.
NOW...I also find in my data base a Charles Lewis, son of William Lewis and
Lucinda Clendenin, born probably Kanawha Co., or nearby in Virginia (West
Virginia) in 1828. Does anyone know if these two Charles Lewis's are one
and the same?
