purchased near Henderson, W.Va., and which afterwards became the home of his
son James Beale Clendenin.
William Clendenin's daughter, Sophia, md. John Miller, and Anna, Henry

Donna,
I would love this information on Alexander!
I also wanted to tell you all that I got a copy of a letter from Edwin Otis
Fisher, Jr. in NC who said that he traced Clendenin's line into his family...
His grandmother was a Norma Lee Clendenin...
This is what was in the letter:
He mentioned that James A. Clendenen was his great great grandfather too...
1. Edwin Otis Fisher b: June 1899 d: March 29, 1975 was his father
+ Norma Lee Clendenin b: February 20, 1902 d: March 1, 1978
2. John W(esley). Fisher b: October 22, 1857 d: December 3, 1942 (s/o Leonard
C. & Barbara Crites Fisher)
+Savannah Smith b: June 22 1870 d: March 1926 (d/o William & Mary
Catherine Persinger Smith listed below)
3. James S. Clendenen b: October 18, 1873 d: December 17, 1951
+Minnie M. Wilkinson b: April 18, 1878 d: October 4, 1971
4: Leonard C. Fisher b: abt. 1817 (s/o Coonrad & Rachel Miller Fisher)
+Barbara Crites b: 1822 d: March 31, 1859
(Leonard & Barbara Crites Fisher were parents of Conrad Fisher who
married Christina Clendenen d/o James A. & Rebecca Lewis Clendenen)
5. William G. Smith
+Mary C(atherine). Persinger
6. Thomas G. Clendenen b: 1852 (s/o James A. & Rebecca Lewis Clendenen)
+Louisa C. Asbury b: 1852 d: abt. 1890
7. David A. Wilkinson b: March 27 1835 d: October 2, 1918
+Virginia A. Persinger b: March 10, 1862 d: June 23, 1897
8. Coonrad Fisher b: abt. 1781 (brother of Henry Fisher & s/o William Fisher
from Germany)
+Rachel Miller b: abt. 1788
9. John Crites
+Colora Pfost (Gloria Pfost in another record I found)
[These are parents of Susanna Crites, who married (1) Henry Koontz (2)
William Fisher, Jr. (William Fisher married previously Sarah F. Samuels)]
10. James A. Clendenen b: abt. 1821 (married June 25, 1840 in Jackson Co.
believed to be s/o Charles Clendenin & grandson of Alexander Clendenin)
+Rebecca Lewis b: abt. 1817
I still have to research James S. Clendenen as Thomas G. Clendenen's son!
It looks like Edwin shows Norma Lee Clendenin as daughter of James S.
Clendenen, who was shown as son of Thomas G. & Loiusa Asbury Clendenen... Any
info on this?
It also looks like Edwin is also related through Christina Clendenen d/o
James A. & Rebecca Lewis Clendenen.
