My name is Murray Stauffer:
I am doing research on Jacob Clemens Canadian Family, especially
interested in locating adoption/guardianship information on Myrtle Ivy
Hallman or learning the present location of these records.
My Mother was Myrtle Ivy Hallman. She was married to Wellington Erle
Staufffer in 1923, at the Benjamin Hallman homestead just outside of
Roseville, Waterloo County, Ontario, Canada.
Her adoptive / guardianship parents were: Ephraim Groff Hallman
( 1871 - 1953) and Matilda Clemens ( 1870-1948) who lived in
Roseville, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
Ephraim's parents were Menno Hallman and Anna Groff
Matilda's parents were Jacob Clemens and Eva Weber
Myrtle is on the 1911 Canadian Census with Ephraim and Matilda. I can
find no information about the year of her coming to this Family or
from where.
Wellington Erle Stauffer's parents were Jared Stauffer 1859-1946, and
Mary Kaster 1866-1937
Jared's parents were John R Stauffer 1836-1916 and Mary Strome 1843-1973
Mary's parents were John Kaster d. 1884 and Anna Wenz d. 1893
Jared and Mary lived on a farm in Washington, Ontario, Canada
Grandparents are buried at Detweiler Cemetery located in Roseville,
Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
