Thought i would let everyone know that there is a Clements Family DNA
project going on. There are already quite a few participants. This is
really for anyone with the Clements/Clemmons/Clemons last name. Below
is a link so that you can read more about this and see if you want to
participate or not. I already have received my results but I do not
have any matches yet.

Clemmons List Admin
I have been on this list for a couple weeks now and have been meaning to intro myself, and keep forgetting. My name is Michael W. Rigas and my Clemmons (all spellings) connection is as follows:
Myself
My father
George E RIGAS (b: 1923; WV)
Helen E HATCHER (b: 1894; Lawrence Co., OH)
Decoursey CLEMMONS (b: 1863; Lawrence Co., OH)
Richard (or William--not sure which; they're brothers and Decoursey switches between the two in censi) CLEMMONS (b: abt 1805; VA)
I believe their father is either John CLEMMONS of Wythe Co., VA or James or John CLEMMONS of Ohio Co., VA (notice that Wythe Co. and
Ohio Co. are in today's WV) and that in any of these cases, the family may once have lived in Augusta Co., VA at about the time
that Richard and William were born.
It has been really hard to track them before 1850 so this is only a best guess so far on the father of Richard/William. If anybody out there is familiar with this line, please send me a buzz so that maybe I can get past some of these shady areas.
Thankyou,
Michael W. Rigas
