Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

GASTONIA - Frances Dailey Clemmer, 91, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2013.
Born in Winston-Salem, she was the daughter of the late George Washington Dailey and Mary White Dailey.
Mrs. Clemmer retired as a senior engineer with Southern Bell after 37 years of service. She was a member for over 65 years at First Presbyterian Church where she served as a former deacon, Sunday school teacher, receptionist, meals on wheels, church pictorial committee and pastoral care committee. Mrs. Clemmer was a member for over 25 years with the Telephone Pioneers of America of which she was a past president. She was a former member of the Gaston Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Board and a former precinct judge with the Gaston County Board of Elections.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Clemmer was preceded in death by her husband, Audrey Montrose Clemmer; son, George Montrose Clemmer; son-in-law, Charles Hite; brother, George W. Dailey, Jr.; sister, Rachel Dailey Williams.
Mrs. Clemmer is survived by her daughter, Barbara C. Hite; grandchildren and their spouses, Amy Hite Parker and Earl Brewer Parker, III, Mary Fran-ces Hite Philp and Al Philp, Danny and Holly Hite; great-grandchildren, Camden and Gracie Hite, Payton and Sloan Parker.
Family and friends of Frances Clemmer are invited to attend her visitation beginning at 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. Saturday in the Parlor of First Presbyte-rian Church of Gastonia with her memorial service to follow at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of First Presbyterian Church.
The Rev. Dr. John L. Frye, Jr. and Rev. Lauren Sease Vanacore will officiate. A private family committal will be held at Union Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

JOSEPHINE ANN CLEMMER - BURLINGTON - Josephine A. Clemmer, 85, died peacefully Monday, May 6, 2013. She was a longtime resident of Ohio, but lived the last eight years of her life in Burlington. She was a caring mother and very loyal to her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert, of 57 years. She is survived by her children, Cindy and husband, Tom Fryman of Fairfield, Conn., Debra Clemmer and partner, Glenn Curtis of Burlington, and Robert and wife, Barbara Clemmer of West Chester, Ohio; brother, Nicholas and wife, Georgia Marinelli; sister, Caroline Goubeaux; sister-in-law, Phyllis Sollenberger; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She lived at Converse Home for five years and the last three years at Starr Farm Nursing Center. She had dementia the last 15 years of her life. She received excellent nursing care from the staff both at Converse and Starr Farm. The family is very appreciative to all the staff in both places who gave so!

A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 13, 2013, followed by a Catholic Mass at 11 a.m. both at St. Paul's Church, Englewood, Ohio. Interment in the Arlington Cemetery, Brookville, Ohio.
