Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

WEST SALEM -- Sarah C. Leasure, 82, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, after a long illness.
She was born Jan. 30, 1931, in Smithfield, Pa., to Russell and Olive (Wilson) Clemmer. Sarah and William J. Leasure were married on Jan. 21, 1947, and raised their six children. William passed away July 31, 1994.
She had worked in the deli at Finast Grocery Store, and was a member of Local 880 and West Salem Seniors. She was a devoted bingo player.
Surviving her are children, William (Lori), Diane (Barry) Heckerd, Dana (Dee Anna), Mark (Jamie), April (Dan) Jones and Bert (Lori); 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild; and a brother, Donald (Ursula) Clemmer.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; nine siblings; and a great-grandchild, Dennis Harris.
The family invites friends for visitation at Carlson Funeral Home, 3477 Medina Road (corner of River Styx and Route 18), Medina, on Friday, Feb. 8, from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 9, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memory Gardens.

William Clemmer, 80, jazz musician

William Clemmer, a jazz musician who performed across Massachusetts, died Feb. 14 of cancer. He was 80 and lived in Northborough.
Mr. Clemmer was born in Waltham, graduated from Hudson High School, and enlisted in the US Army in 1945. He wanted to see combat, but since he was an accomplished pianist, he was assigned to play in a military band. With the USO, Mr. Clemmer traveled across Europe and shared the stage with such musicians as Tony Bennett.
After the war, Mr. Clemmer studied at the Berklee College of Music and spent a few years in the 1950s teaching there. He ran a music shop, and it was there where he met his wife, Pat Goodwin, who came to buy sheet music.
Mr. Clemmer performed with the Worcester Music Association and the Winiker Orchestra.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Clemmer leaves his children, Bill Jr. of the Democratic Republic of Congo; Dan of Albuquerque; Richard of South Yarmouth; Kristen of Ware; Scott of Grafton; David of Northborough; and Erika of Northborough; and 18 grandchildren. Two children predeceased him. Services have been held.

Larry D. Clemmer, 50, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away suddenly on Jan. 23rd, 2013. Larry was born in Odessa, TX on July 27th, 1962 to Don G. and Recia M. Clemmer. Larry attended school in Odessa and Andrews, TX and worked in the oilfield. He was preceded in death by his father, Don Clemmer. No services will be held.
