DALLAS, N.C. - Clairetta Harris Clemmer, 79, of 234 Saint Johns
Street, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, at her residence.
A native of Almyra, Ark., she was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran
Church where she was very active on many committees, Superintendent of
Sunday School, Board Member of the Lutheran Group Home for several
years, which she loved dearly. Women of the ELCA, worked for many
years at the Pacemaker and Food Lion grocery stores, worked as a
secretary for many years prior to working with the grocery store.
Daughter of the late Earl D. and Clairetta Jones Harris.
Preceded in death by husband of 44 years, Doyle Deaton Clemmer Sr.;
sisters, Coma Spiggs, Norma Townsel, and Devona McCoy. Survivors sons,
Doyle Clemmer Jr. of Dallas, N.C., Jon Alan Clemmer of Houston, Texas;
daughter and sonin-law, Sandra Clemmer Austin and Wayne K. Austin of
Morganton, N.C.; grandchildren, Preston Clemmer, Kevin Greene, Kathy
Green Austin, and Sharon Willams; great-grandchildren, Brian Burgess,
Blair Greene, and Alyssa Williams; brother, Earl D. Harriks Jr. of
Stevensville, Mich.; sister, Ella Simmons of DeWitt, Ark.; 10 nieces
and three nephews.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, at Our Savior
Lutheran Church, with Rev. Edward Harper officiating.
Family will receive friends 1-2 p.m. prior to service at the
church. Burial will be at Holy Communion Lutheran Church Cemetery,

Hospice of Dayton. He was a US Army WWII Veteran & was a member of the
St. Paul's Catholic Church since it's inception. He is survived by his
wife of 57 years, Josephine; children Cindy & husband Tom Fryman,
Fairfield CT, Debra Clemmer, Burlington, VT, Bob & wife Barb Clemmer,
W. Chester; grandchildren, Kevin, Melissa, Matt, Todd, Bart, Mike
& Joey; sister Phyllis Sollenberger, Englewood & Ollie (Bob) Pilot,

Marsha Lynn Clemmer, 64, a retired banker and former resident
of Annapolis and Davidsonville, died Aug. 22 in Rockledge, Fla., after
a year-long bout of cancer.
Mrs. Clemmer was born in Georgetown in Washington, D.C., attended the
University of Maryland, College Park, and lived in Maryland until
retirement, moving to Melbourne, Fla., three years ago.
She had been a loan officer and held other positions with Farmers Bank
and then First Virginia.
Her greatest devotion and joy was her family and friends and lending a
helping hand wherever needed, her family said.
She is survived by her son, David Clemmer of Arlington, Va.; her
father, Bob Clark of Melbourne; and two sisters, Kitty Imdahl and
Patty Collins of Florida.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Beach Funeral Home
East Chapel at 1689 S. Patrick Drive, Indian Harbour Beach, Fla.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at
Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, where she was a member, at 3050
Highway A1A North, Indian Harbour Beach. Burial will be in Woodlawn
Cemetery in Orlando, Fla.

CLOVER -- Mr. James Blair Clemmer Sr., 78, of 173 Spring Meadow Drive
died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday at M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home
Chapel, with the Rev. Marvin Greenway officiating. Burial will be at
Lakeview Memory Gardens in York.
A native of Gaston County, N.C., Mr. Clemmer was a son of the late
John Martin Clemmer and Esther Cleo Kiser Clemmer. He was a U.S. Army
veteran of World War II and was retired from Dixie Yarns in Gastonia,
N.C.
Surviving are his wife, Grace Hullett Clemmer of the home; his son,
James B. "Jimmy" Clemmer Jr., of Clover; his daughter, Shirley C.
Carpenter of Clover; his sister, Bertie Parker of Bowling Green;
eight grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral
home.

Philadelphia Co, PA, I found a record on page 60 for
Henrich Klemmer, presumably the Mennonite one who is
buried in Franconia with his wife, Maria. Whether he
is the same Henrich Klemmer who arrived on the
Alexander and Anne (5 Sep 1730) is uncertain.
However, like the trans-Atlantic passenger, the Henry
who witnessed the execution of Jacob Huntsberger's
will on 14 Feb 1748 also could not sign his name.

Helen Gold Quinn Clemmer
Helen Gold Quinn Clemmer, 83, of Hemphill, TX died Thursday,
January 13,
2005 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont from complications
following a
stroke.
Born in Texas City, TX to Charles Clark Quinn and Georgia Belle
Culpepper. Helen lived in Vidor, TX for 26 years where she raised 4
children
before moving to Hemphill, TX where she resided for 30 years.
Helen never met a stranger and was involved in her community;
wrote
columns for local newspaper, named citizen of the year for Sabine
County,
received award for appreciation from the Galveston County Divers
Association
for her help during the search for the Columbia Shuttle debris just to
name
a few.
Helen was preceded in death by her 1st husband of 56 years, Virgil
"Clem" Clemmer as well as 3 sisters and 4 brothers.
Survivors included her husband Travis Clemmer of Hemphill,

Janice Heathman and husband Alan of Beaumont, TX, Sons James Clemmer
of
Kennesaw, Georgia, William Clemmer and wife Kay of Memphis, TN, Ken
