Can someone please help me with the following BROWNs?
1.) I have a Rev. John BROWN, former Minister of Jacob's Lutheran Church who
was
married to Mary Taggart BROWN. I know of two children: Julianna BROWN, b.
1825-1830 who married J.G. WILLIAMS. (Anyone know J.G.'s full name?); and
Rebecca BROWN, b. abt. 1836, who married John CLEMMER in 1857 at Jacob's
Lutheran Church.
Does anyone have any info on Rev. John BROWN? Any other children? Rev.
John BROWN died before 1839, as his wife, Mary Taggart BROWN, remarried into
my line via Nicholas MILLER.
Does anyone know if the Jeremiah B. BROWN who married Susannah AULT is the
son of Rev. John BROWN and Mary TAGGART?
Any information on this line would be sincerely appreciated.
Thanks,
Terri L. Taylor-Pearsall

My wife and I were at the West Virginia State Fair in Fairleigh on Saturday
and happened on the exhibition booth of Bob D. Clemmer of Sandstone, WV. He
is a noted folk artist of Native American and Western themes. I spoke at
length with Bob, his wife, and grown son. They are among the last of a
small group of Clemmer descendents that settled in an isolated valley in
West Virginia in the 19th Century while other family members continued the
migration from Virginia to Ohio. Bob says he is a descendent of George
Ludwig Klemmer of Augusta County, VA (youngest son of Johan Ludwig and Maria
Böckle Klemmer). Bob said that according to his oral tradition, it was
George's original intent to migrate to North Carolina, but the fertile
Shenandoah Valley of Virginia convinced him to cut short his journey. Bob
displays his art work at http://www.sandstoneart.com and welcomes
correspondence at BobDClemmer(a)aol.com. He was slowed by a massive heart
attack this past June 18th, but seemed in good spirits on Saturday.

Bryce - GREAT! I'm free (as of now) from the 7th through the 11th. Let's
make an "appointment" so we can be sure to get together. I'd really like for
you to come to my house to visit Mom, as she doesn't get out. I'd also like
for you to meet my (as of last Thursday) fiancee! Her name is Ellen Rowe;
she works and so is available only in the evening or on weekends, but not
Tuesday. If possible, let's pick a time to get together quickly. With the
recent engagement, we're getting lots of invitations from friends for various
celebrations so our calendar is filling up fast!
I assume you'll be at Duke. If so, here are directions to my house; it'll
take about 20 or 25 minutes unless you hit rush hour traffic through Research
Triangle Park.
From Duke, take the Durham Expressway (NC 147) toward RTP and Raleigh. Then
take I-40 toward Raleigh. After a few miles take I-540 (it only goes one
way, i.e. toward North Raleigh!). After about 13 miles exit onto Falls of
the Neuse Road and turn left. Go to the first stop light (not counting those
that control the I-540 ramps) and turn left onto Litchford Rd. Then take the
second left onto Greenfield, then the second right onto Lomas Court. We're
the last drive on the left. 8821 Lomas Court, 919 844-1740.
Looking forward to seeing you!
Tom
Tom,
Denise and I will be in Durham the weekend of the 7th. We would like
to catch up with you then.

together. Here's a list of the contents as of now. I'm sending this so
folks can decide whether or not it's something they want. Before I can burn
and send out the CDs, I have to solve a problem with my computer crashing
each time I close a new CD I've created, so please be patient. Tom
