My apology: The aforesaid Clemmer Reunion website was zapped by angelfire for some inexplicable reason. I will have to find another host. This could take some time, but I will notify the group when the site has finally been deployed again.

Subject: Clemmer Reunion Web Site
The official Clemmer Reunion website is now online at http://www.angelfire.com/folk/clemmer_reunion/. The only problem is no reunion is planned this year, at least not in Dallas, NC (see "News" link). At any rate, I hope you enjoy the archived mementos from past reunions. I have established a bulletin board (http://pub96.ezboard.com/bclemmerreuniondiscussion) to discuss the possibility of someday starting a reunion on a National scale. The first and so far only topic posted is "Where to hold the first such reunion?" I have posted my thoughts on this. New topics will be added in the future.
Highlights of the site:
1.) The Clemmer Reunion Interviews: John F. Clemmer III (b. 1943) brought his Wolensak tape recorder to the North Carolina Clemmer Reunion of August 6, 1972 and captured the voices and experiencies of a vanished generation. Presented here for the first time are downloadable MP3 files with transcripts from these invaluable sessions.
2.) Clemmer Reunion Scrapbook: A collection of photographs, speeches, newspaper articles, letters, and autobiographical sketches of participants. Most of these date to the early-mid 1970s.
3.) Reunion Recipes - Many of the most popular dishes served during past reunions.
4.) Clemmer Links - An updated list of web pages devoted to Clemmer genealogy with descriptions.
5.) The latest newsletter.

Carrie:
My GGgrandfather and his family were members of The Iowa Company,
one of the parties that made up the wagon train that also contained the
Donner Party. My family were HARRISONs and traveled on to Oregon with the
main group of that train. My family on that trek were John HARRISON, his
second wife Mary (BROWN-SMITH) HARRISON, and the following children. James
Miller HARRISON, Archibald McNair HARRISON, Maria HARRISON, John HARRISON Jr,
Lamira Bedler HARRISON and William HARRISON. The first three children listed
were from his first wife, Jane MILLER of Beaver Co. PA who died in Iowa in
1840.
John's oldest son, James Miller HARRISON wrote a partial narration
of the trip in about 1869. I have a typewritten transcript of that narration
and the following additional names are mentioned: CLYMER, B. STARK, Wm.
TRIMBLE and W.C. GRAVES. If any of this ties to your families, I am happy to
share what I have with you.

Subject: [PAFAYETT-L] Jacobs Lutheran Cem. - Brown/Taggart/Miller
With all of this talk about Jacobs Lutheran, I thought I would post another
question relating to this church.
Does anyone have any information on the Rev. John BROWN who was the fourth
pastor of Jacob's Lutheran Church between the years 1829 - 1838? I am
specifically searching for his family information.
I know that he was married to Mary TAGGART/TIGERT, b. 1801, and they had two
known children, Julianna BROWN (married J.G. WILLIAMS) and Rebecca Wiles
BROWN (married John CLEMMER, Jr). I am interested in this line as Mary
TAGGART-BROWN remarried after the Rev. BROWN's death into my MILLER line,
specifically, Nicholas MILLER. I need to identify all of Rev. BROWN and
Mary TAGGART-BROWN's children.
Thanks for any and all help!
