Thomas Riggs Will
State of Tennessee, Henry County
I this day, write my will, and make a deed of gift to my children as
follows:
First I give J.T. Riggs two tracts of land and deeded to me by J.C. Fitch,
one of the them deeded to me by Fillar Hegler, also my buggy and harness
at my death, and one third of wheat money I have left on hand at my death.
I also give to my daughter, Mallory McDavid, all that I have left with
her heretofore, also the buggy that is in her possession, and one third
of wheat money I have left after my burial expenses are paid.
I also leave to my daughter, Nancy Ann Moody, my dwelling and store house,
and lots, and the seven acre lot deeded to me byJames Bonds and dthe lot
deeded to me by A.W. Clymer.
J.T. Riggs has the use of it four years, also, the Claybank horse called
Charley, and also one third of wheat money I have on hand at my death after
my burial expenses paid.
I also give J.T. Riggs, my black horse, and the use of the seven acre lot
deeded to me by A.W. Clymer for four years and after that time gave up
to Nancy Ann Moody by J.T. Riggs. I'm holding the title to said lot.
I only give by will to my son A.E. Riggs, by will ten dollars and no more,
and to my Grandson Dolney Riggs, five dollars and no more.
Now my request is that there shall be a neat little plank house built over
myself and old lady, the square not over four feet high, and painted white
and roof black which will not cost over ten dollars. After that is taken
out, and the ten dollars to A.E. Riggs and the five dollars to Dolney Riggs
then one third to J.T. Riggs and one third to Thelly McDavid and one third
to Nancy Ann Moody.
I hope this last will made by be me will be correctly and friendly attended
to by my children without any hard thoughts.
This is my last will "in sorry bad health" but in my right mind, and wrote
by me this 19th day of April 1894.

State of Tennessee March term of County Court
Henry County Friday, March 17, 1899
This day came J.T. Riggs and produced and exhibited a paper or instrument
in writing to the court purporting on its face to be the last will and
testament of Thomas Riggs, deceased, late a citizen of the Sate of
Tennessee,
residing in the County of Henry and propounded the same for probate.
Thereupon came W.F. Clymer one of the subscribing witnesses thereto, who
being first duly sworn, deposed and said that he was personally acquainted

It is therefore ordained by the court that the said paper or instrument
in writing to be the same as herby admitted to probate as the last will
