The information I have about this Clemmer family of the
Shenandoah Valley:
1. Elizabeth, born 22 Sep 1775, baptized 26 Dec 1775 at Christ,
Littlestown, PA, with
sponsors John Weigert and Anna Maria Eva.
2. George Ludwig, born 31 May 1777, married Mary ELizabeth Kinzer, 2 Nov
1799, Rockingham Co., VA. He is buried in St. John's Reformed Ch.
Cem., Augusta Co., VA.
3. Andrew, born 3 Mar 1779, married Sarah Black, 10 Apr 1807, in
Rockingham Co.,
Va.
4. David Fishborn, born 11 Sep 1780, baptized 1 Oct 1780 at Christ,
Littlestown, married Martha Wilson, 11 May 1806 in Rockingham
Co., VA.
5. Anna Maria, born 11 June 1782, baptized 28 June 1782 at Christ,
Littlestown, with Anna Maria Mueller as sponsor. She married Jacob
Brosius 8 Aug 1801 in Rockingham Co., VA.
6. John, born 14 Mar 1786, baptized 2 July 1786 at St. John's Lutheran
Church, Germany Township, PA, with sponsors Joh. Weikert and
Eva. John married Phebe Nevius on 17 Feb 1812 in Rockbridge
Co., VA.
7. Maria Magdalena(Polly), married William McCormick 10 Nov 1807 in
Augusta Co., VA.
8. Margaret(Peggy)
9. Elizabeth married Reuben Lunsford, 20 Sep 1815 in Rockbridge Co., VA.
This couple appears in the 1850 Census of Nelson Co., VA.
Possibly the first daughter named Elizabeth died, and a second child was
given this name since this was the name of George Ludwig's mother.

Yes, I've seen the messages about Balthasar
Dodderer/Dutterer/Tutterow, and believe his possible connection to
Margaret Clemmer should be explored.
My husband descends from the Dodderer family of Montgomery Co.,
PA. George Philip Dodderer's daughter, Anna Elizabeth, b. 1709, married
Michael Zimmerman. Their daughter, Anna Elizabeth Zimmerman, b. 1736,
married John Yount, b. 1723. This couple migrated to Lincoln/Catawba
County, NC. The Yount family in this area are descendants of this
couple or of several nephews of John Yount who also came to NC.
We have not yet been able to make a connection of Balthasar and
the George Philip Dodderer family.

Hi Mary, I descend from the CLEMMER & YOUNG families of 1830-60 Polk Co,
TN.
These clans came from NC with the CLEMMER family to Monroe Co, TN in 1820s
and, with the DAVIS in-laws, fill an old dilapidated Clemmer Cem near Bat
Cr & Brakebill, Monroe Co, TN.
While I do not list your Elias Benj DAVIS, I do have a possible John DAVIS,
but need more data.
You may want to contact Walter Davis <davisw(a)midcoast.com> who descends
from my DAVIS in-laws.
