I've "rescued" an old photograph identified as Lola CLEMENTS which was taken
at the L. D. Simmons Studio in Natchez, MS. The photograph appears to have
been taken in the 1890's with Lola likely in her early teens at the time.
Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information
regarding Lola and her family:
Lola Mae CLEMENTS was b. 23 Jun 1880 in Illinois and married John W. SAMPLE
(1869-1956) with whom she had two children, Helen (1903-1903) and Oren
Russell (1908-2002). Lola died 20 Apr 1922 and is buried in McComb, MS in
the Hollywood Cemetery.
I am hoping to locate someone from this family so that the photograph can be
returned to their care. If you are a member of this family, or you know
someone who might be, please contact me.
Thanks,
Shelley
far's i know she is not my family, but what you are doing is wonderful, and
i have been the recipient of other photos of long-lost family members . . .
from people like you
all the best and may you be blessed
