Re: [CLEMENTS] Seafaring Clements
by Osborne Hood Enterprises
Hi Jessie,
The seafaring part of my Clements is that they were convicts (possibly the
wrong part of the ship)lol....My Clements is John Clements (aka Cleminson)
sailed from Plymouth England on the Oriental Queen, he married Margaret
Molloy (also a convict) who sailed from Dublin on the Martin Luther both
landing in Tasmania Australia in 1852/53
Good luck with your search
Dale

Subject: [CLEMENTS] Seafaring Clements
I have been searching English records for my ancestor Edward Clements (
Clemens) who was a ship captain in the middle to late 1600s.
In my searching I have come across many Clements (Clemens) in that period
who were listed as mariners . Most of them lived in the area around
London.
I would like to contact other descendants of seafaring Clements from this
time period to determine connections among this group, if possible.
Unfortunately I do not have any male relative descendants of Edward
Clements for
possible DNA testing so that possibility seems to be foreclosed.
My deepest thanks to any Clements, Clement, or Clemens descendant who
would
care to join the search for this" saltwater " clan connections.
Jessie, California
