I'm not sure why this is bouncing - since I did receive this message and I
am the list administrator.

We found the "WALKER" (CLEMENTS) Cemetery in the city limits of Copperas Cove, TX. The only identified stones were of COSPER & CLEMENTS families but there were some graves marked with only rocks. To find the cemetery if one is going to Copperas Cove from Lampasas on Hwy. 190, go past the new Walker Housing Project and turn right or south on Garden Avenue. This immediately intersects Boland and one must turn right onto Boland which dead ends on Mattie Drive. Turn right/west onto Mattie Drive and go 1 block to Jay Drive. Turn right onto Jay. It is a short street and at the end of the cul-de-sac is a grass field area with a grove of large oak trees inside a 3 foot chain link fence. There is a sign on the fence that says Walker Cemetery. The entire cemetery is covered in Vinca (Periwinkle) ground cover which has successfully choked out the grass and weeds but it had many, many fire ant beds and could have snakes as well. You would not be able to see the snakes for the g!
round cover. Here is a search I did for a map on where to find "Boland". If one follows Boland south to Mattie Dr. an turns right, the first street on the right is Jay and the blank area at the north end of Jay is the location of the cemetery. The circled star is on Boland.

It is definitely in Coryell County TX and I will post the stones as soon as I receive my photos back from the developer. I did not find WILLIAM NATHAN GREEN's grave but if there are any CLEMENTS or COSPER relatives that would be interested in trying to get an historical marker for this cemetery, I would appreciate hearing from you.
Thanks,
Lynda

On August 19, 1911 one Frank Stelzig shot and killed William D Clements at the farm of his brother, James Clements, near Pledger in Matagorda County, TX.
Apparantly this shooting was the result of a feud that had started near Columbus in Colorado County some time earlier.
Would anyone have access to a newspaper article about this crime?
Would anyone have access to the 1910 and 1920 census for Matagorda County to look up the family of James Clements born 1871, wife Lula born 1873, and children Spencer, Dickson, Lillie, Essie, and others born after 1910?
Thank you very much.
