I am living in Huntsville, Alabama which is the home of Senator Jeremiah
<http://bioguide.congress.gov/scripts/biodisplay.pl?index=C000501>
Clemens (first cousin to Samuel L. Clemens). His historic home in
Huntsville is for sale because Huntsville Utilities owns the property
and they want to build a parking lot where the house is. There is a
picture of this house at http://www.preserveala.org/intro1.htm. I bring
this up because they may just tear it down if they don't find someone to
literally take the house. It is a beautiful house and I wish I could do
something to save it. If nothing else it is interesting to read about
Jeremiah.

Anyone know the lineage of John Clements of Charleston who probably owned
Clements Ferry. His wife may have been Sarah. He probably died in 1801.
I'm particularly interested in identifying his children.

Need any information on F A (Fulton Adolphus) Clements and H M Clements
1910 Nacogdoches CO, TX 1910 census boarding with Walter & Mattie Williams
on Apply & Garrison Road. FA (1886-1949) married Susan Estelle Cheaney in
1913 in Texas. F M Clements I assume was an other brother, aged 27 in 1910.
No information on him.

I've "rescued" an old photograph of W.B. CLEMENTS of West Union, Iowa which
was taken at the W.H. Monroe Studio in Fayette, Iowa. I believe the
photograph might have been taken on the occasion of his graduation from
Upper Iowa University in 1892 based on a written notation on the back of the
photo. Someone has also written "Co Atty" on the back of the photograph so
I take it he was an attorney.
I'm hoping to find someone from this family so that the photograph can be
returned to its rightful place with family. If you are a member of this
family or know someone who might be, please contact me.
Thanks,
Shelley
