Dear Amanda and the CLEMENTS and MYRICK list,
(Note: Any of this information is still subject to corrections.)
Regarding the message that Amanda JULIAN sent the CLEMENTS list today,
(shown at the bottom of this email,) (and also featuring a little bit of
other info Amanda has posted,) and concerning the CLEMENTS-MYRICK marriages
from states of TN/KY/MO/IL in the late 1800s/early 1900s for 2 brothers and 2
sisters:
Charles Wesley MYRICK and Mrs. Mary Lucy Ann "Mollie" CLEMENTS BILLBERRY,
born: February 22, 1876 in Tennessee, died: July 21, 1915 in Joy,
Livingston, Kentucky. Mrs. Mary Ann "Mollie" CLEMENTS BILLBERRY's 2nd
marriage was to Charles Wesley MYRICK, around 1895 and they had six children
in addition to two children from Mary's 1st marriage.
There isn't a date of birth shown for this Charles Wesley MYRICK but I would
presume he was born before 1876 and, according to additional information of
Amanda's, Charles Wesley MYRICK died November 22, 1908. No information as to
whether Mrs. Mary MYRICK married a 3rd time after the death of Charles.
And Charles Welsey MYRICK's brother:
William Henry MYRICK married Mary's sister, Mrs. Arza/Arzy/"Arzy" CLEMENTS
FAIN, (FAIN apparently being the name of Arzy's 1st husband, who later
married 3rd husband, William Harrison "Buck" GARNER.)
I have forwarded this message on to the MYRICK list for which I am the List
Administrator.
While checking my assorted files of MYRICK information from variety of
sources, I saw the following information and I was wondering if anyone might
know what additional connections there might be:
Harriet CLEMENTS, born: abt. 1827, (and shown below married to George N.
MYRICK,) might, possibly, be connected to the CLEMENTS sisters, Ellen
CLEMENTS, Mrs. Arzy/"Arzy" CLEMENTS FAIN and Mrs. Mary Lucy Ann "Mollie"
CLEMENTS BILLBERRY who married into the MYRICK family with their marriages to
William Henry MYRICK and brother, Charles Wesley MYRICK.
Parents of Ellen, Mary Lucy Ann "Mollie" and Arza/Arzy/"Arzy" CLEMENTS,
according to Amanda's info, were named: Thomas J. CLEMENS/CLEMENT(S) and
Elizabeth COLLINS. And Arza/Arzy/"Arzy" CLEMENTS was born in Jackson County,
Tennessee.
These CLEMENTS sisters and their husbands, the MYRICK brothers, lived in
Livingston County, Kentucky in 1900 census and both brothers were deceased
before 1910.
Included in the following chart for the ancestry of Harriet CLEMENTS'
husband, George N. MYRICK, born: 1827, (son of Rachel Eggerton BOBBITT and
Jesse MYRICK, (son of Martha RAY and Charles (1) MYRICK, (son of Elizabeth
JAMES and James MYRICK,) is a POSSIBLE connection for the descent of the
aforementioned brothers, Charles Wesley MYRICK and William Henry MYRICK
through this same family group chart which shows a brother of the
aforementioned James MYRICK, (who married Elizabeth JAMES,) and that
brother's name was Moses MYRICK, Jr., born: Bet. 1754-1758, died: 1840, md:
wife # 1: Rebecca ? and wife # 2: Susannah LITTLE.
Moses MYRICK, Jr. was the father of William MYRICK, born: 1775, died: 1843,
who was the father of a man named Charles Wesley MYRICK, born: October 28,
1816, died: November 03, 1864, and this Charles Wesley MYRICK who was born
in 1816 married Elizabeth SHOFFNER, born: September 16, 1818, died: April
01, 1901.
It would seem quite possible that this Charles Wesley MYRICK who was born in
1816 is the ancestor of the man in Amanda's information who was also named
Charles Wesley MYRICK and was probably born in the 1860s or 1870s and his
brother, William Henry MYRICK, mentioned above who married the CLEMENTS
sisters.
See the following information and let me know if you might have additional
information, corrections, connections to the CLEMENTS family of the sisters,
Ellen, Mary Lucy Ann "Mollie," and Arzy/"Arzy" CLEMENTS and the MYRICK
brothers, Charles Wesley MYRICK and William Henry MYRICK, as well any other
pertinent information regarding any of the following.
In addition, in this family chart I find other connections that connect
directly to my HARRIS - MARTIN lineage which married into my JOYNER - LOTT -
LIGHTFOOT - HATTEN/HATTON family in my maternal lineage which married into my
MYRICK family with my parent's marriage but also with many other marriages
between these family groups as well. This connection enters with the BOBBITT
- MYRICK marriage shown immediately below. I descend from Rachel
Eggerton/Egerton BOBBIT's ancestral grandparents, Thomas HARRIS and Ann
MARTIN through their daughter, Ann HARRIS.
Thank you. (Again, please see the information below.)
Sincerely,
Bellinda Myrick - Barnett

My Clements brick wall has bits and pieces tying it together. Hopefully
someone will recognize something.
Three sisters - Ellen Clements, Mary Lucy Ann "Mollie" Clements, and "Arzy"
Clements. Mary Lucy Ann and Arzy married brothers, Charles Wesley Myrick and
William Henry Myrick, respectively.
Dates/places I have for Mary Lucy Ann: born February 22, 1876 in Jackson
Co., TN; died July 21, 1915 in either KY or MO. I believe she married
Charles Wesley Myrick about 1895 in either TN or KY, but have not found this
record. She was supposedly married previously to a man with the last name
"Billberry or Bilbrey". She had two children by him, Alice Leslie, born
August 1891, and Azelia, born December 1893. In the 1900 census, these
children are listed with the last name "Clemens".
In the 1900 census in Livingston County, Kentucky, Mary Lucy Ann is listed as
"Mollie", with her parents shown as born in Tennessee. I have not found her
or her children in the 1910 census, as Charles dies in 1908. Mary Lucy Ann
and Charles had six children - Archie, Nellie, Harry, Lawrence, Mary, and
Norval.
Meanwhile, Arzy Clements Myrick, born September 1879, supposedly aids in
murdering her husband and marries William Harrison "Buck" Garner. Their
marriage occurred in Pope County, Illinois on October 6, 1905. The marriage
record shows Arza (Fain) Myrick, born Jackson Co., TN, second marriage, from
Joy, Livingston County, KY, parents - Thomas J. Clemens and Elizabeth
Collins.
The next piece of info I've found is the 1880 census in Jackson Co., TN. The
family is shown as follows:
Clements, J. T. 29 KY KY KY
Jane 31 TN TN TN
Nancy M. 10 TN KY TN
Mary L. 7 TN KY TN
John M. 4 TN KY TN
Arsafane 1 TN KY TN
Arsafane is shown as a female, so I'm pretty sure this is the right family.
I mean, come on, how many people are named Arsafane? Mary Lucy Ann's age is
a bit off, and Ellen probably wasn't born yet. I don't have any dates on
Ellen. I have had no luck in locating the family in 1870 - were they married
yet, would the oldest child have been listed???
If any has any information on this family, I would certainly appreciate it!

Hello,
My brick wall is William Washington CLEMENT born in the early 1800's in Georgia. According to the LDS website, he married Martha Jane LARD (born in Virginia) about 1837 in Chalk Bluff, Marion County, Alabama. They had two sons that I am aware of:
William Riley CLEMENT born 1839 in Alabama died 1911 Hardin County Tennessee that married Bedie DAVIS
Peter Richard CLEMENT born 8 Jan 1840 in Pickens County Alabama died 1914 Franklin County Alabama
Any info would be appreciated. I have lots of info on William Riley's descendants and am willing to share. I have absolutely no info on Peter Richard's descendants.
Thank you,

My 3rd Great Grandmother was Nancy Jane Clemens b 1826 Tennessee, d 1897
Kansas. She married Absolum Harp. Her siblings were Sarah E. married Hardy
Harp (Absolum's brother), Adaline married William Cloer, James married Sarah
M, and possibly a brother named John.
Their parents were Jesse Clemens (also listed with various other spellings,
including Clements and Clemmons) b 1794 North Carolina, d 1835 Washington
County, Arkansas, and Elizabeth b 1794 North Carolina, d 1860 Missouri.
Jesse lived in Washington County, Arkansas by 1828.
It is possible, not proven, that Jesse's father was John Clemens b 1765
Virginia.
My Clements line is Issac R. Clements and his siblings from Pulaski Co.
Georgia. He died around l858 in Wakulla Co. Florida and was married to
Penelope Harrell also of Pulaski Co. Ga. We think the father might be a
Jacob Clements but could really use more info.

Hello everyone.
My wife's Clemence family came originally from St Agnes in Cornwall, England. Her Joseph Clemence was born in St Agnes in the mid 1700s.
Because St Clements was quite a popular saint and quite a few churches were named after him, then also quite a few Clements and Clemence and Clemo families were named after him.
I have several photos of the church of St Clements in Cornwall, if any of your Clements, Clemence or Clemo families come from Cornwall.
regards.

Hello,
I am searching for info on my grandfather John Clements he was b.
Feb. 28, 1917 in Michigan and died on Jan. 29, 1978 and is buried in
Overton, Clark, Nevada.
He married Lucinda Burgess, and had kids with her. He had brothers and
sisters that have a different last name than he does. One sister that I
know of is Pearl Herrick, although I don't know where she lives at.
John's parents are supposed to be Daniel Clements & Marie? If anyone can
help me on this it would be great.
