I'm seeking a Robert Clements (b. ~1592 in England) and died in U.S.A. His
wife was reportedly a
Lydia DRUMMOND (sic?) Is there anyone on the list that can identify the
Robert and Lydia Clements
mentioned in the "Clement Families All Across America" book on the list
homepage?

Hey, folks, I made a typo (I'm down with the flu or some kind of bug
today, and didn't check my original message very well before sending it
out.)
My ROBERT CLEMENTS was born circa FIFTEEN 95, not 1695, as I originally
typed. all the other info seems to be as correct as I can offer, at least
at this time. I am still looking for any info on his wife Lydia
Drummer/Dummer
Thanks for all your patience and understanding with my feeble typing today.

the west bank of the Guadalupe River in current Guadalupe County. He

A visual inspection of the cemeteries in Virginia City, Nevada, found ony

I just wanted to thank all of the wonderful people on this listserver
for being so polite and kind to some of us who do not know our roots
through adoption. I know it is a touchy subject with some. I am still
looking for my father's birthfamily in hopes of getting the medical
history. We do not want a reunion or to enter another families lives at
this point in my 67 year old father's life. My father was born in the
midst of the depression on 3-31-1933 to an unwed Gertrude Clements in
Philadelphia, PA. He was named ROLAND WILLIAM CLEMENTS. His adoption
was a private one and took place in Philadelphia Municipal Court. I am
not sure if his mother was from Philadelphia because they usually sent
them to live with relatives if you were unwed. I feel for her and know
this had to have impacted her life in some way. We really need the
medical history and that is why I am opening up to the listserver
community on a touchy subject. If you have anyone in your family that
fits this description, please let me know. Here are some of the
hereditary factors that my father has:
Color Blind- Comes from mother's side and is passed to male only
Alcoholism
Receding hairline in his 20's-Comes from mother's side also
Bi-Polar disorder (Maniac Depression)
Hip Disorder
Lupus or other Arthritic diseases
Bleeding Disorder (Not Hemophilia however)
Skin Cancer
Ulcers
Thank you very much!
Thanks Joseph
That was very nice.

I need help in locating any information on Peter (P.R.) Clement/Clements, I
have very little to go on. I know he lived in Coleman Co, Coleman City, Tx
around 1878 as that is when my grandmother was born. Also he had a deed to
land in Kaufman Co from a F.M. Taylor, that he in turn sold to his brother
James H. Clement and he in turn sold to another brother, J.M. Clement. This
was in 1890. The family has said he died in Sulphur, Ok,IT along with two of
his sons, Will and Tom and they are all three buried in a cemetery north of
Sulphur. I checked some of the records of cemeteries there and could not
find them.
Does anyone have any ideas?? I hope someone has some info they are looking
for along this line. This is really a brick wall.
Thanks, Ona

In Honor of Moms Everywhere
===============================================================
When God Made Moms
By the time the Lord made mothers, he was into his sixth
day of
working overtime. An Angel appeared and said "Why are you
spending
so much time on this one"? And the Lord answered and said,
"Have you seen the spec sheet on her? She has to be
completely
washable, but not plastic; have 200 movable parts, all
replaceable;
run on black coffee and leftovers; have a lap that can
hold three
children at one time and that disappears when she stands
up; have
a kiss that can cure anything from a scraped knee to a
broken heart,
and have six pairs of hands."
The Angel was astounded at the requirements for this one.
"Six pairs
of hands! No Way!" said the Angel. The Lord replied, "Oh,
it's not
the hands that are the problem. It's the three pairs of
eyes that
mothers must have!"
"And that's just on the standard model?" The Angel asked.
The Lord nodded in agreement, "Yes, one pair of eyes are
to see
through the closed door as she asks her children what they
are doing
even though she already knows. Another pair in the back of
her head,
are to see what she needs to know even though no one
thinks she can.
And the third pair are here in the front of her head. They
are for
looking at an errant child and saying that she understands
and loves
him or her without even saying a single word."
The Angel tried to stop the Lord. "This is too much work
for one day.
Wait until tomorrow to finish." "But I can't!" the Lord
protested,
"I am so close to finishing this creation that is so close
to my own
heart. She already heals herself when she is sick AND can
feed a family
of six on a pound of hamburger and can get a nine year old
to stand in
the shower."
The Angel moved closer and touched the woman, "But you
have made her
so soft, Lord."
"Yes, she is soft", the Lord agreed, "But I have also made
her tough.
You have no idea what she can endure or accomplish."
"Will she be able to think?", asked the inquisitive Angel.
The Lord smiled and replied, "Not only will she be able to
think, she
will be able to reason, and negotiate."
The Angel then noticed something and reached out and
touched the woman's
cheek. "Oops, it looks like you have a leak with this
model. I told you
that you were trying to put too much into this one."
"That's not a leak." The Lord objected. "That is a tear!"
"What's the tear for? the Angel asked. The Lord said, "The
tear is
her way of expressing her joy, her sorrow, her
disappointment, her pain,
her loneliness, her grief, and her pride."
The Angel was impressed. "You are a genius, Lord. You
thought of
everything! Truly, You do all things well... Moms are
truly amazing!"
Happy Mother's Day!
