Hello all:
I'm looking for help on the CLEMENTS family in Portsea, Hampshire,
England. Specifically for any of the following individuals:
Mary Ann CLEMENTS chr. 11 Sep 1825 at St. Mary's Portsea
Charlotte CLEMENTS chr. 24 Sep 1828 at St. John Portsea
both of whom were daughters of:
Henry CLEMENTS and Charlotte (unknown)
Mary Ann married William MAY at St. Mary's, Portsea on 12 Mar 1854, for
which we have a microfilm copy of the marriage register, and also her
sister Charlotte married a Thomas CONNELL, seaman, four days earlier.
Henry CLEMENTS was shown as a laborer on both certificates. Charlotte
gives her residence at 8 Chelsea Place at that time, which was next door
to the residence of William MAY (10 Chelsea Place). Each daughter was
(not surprisingly) a witness to the other's marriage.
At the time of the baptism of Mary Ann in 1825, Henry CLEMENTS is listed
as a chair maker, residing at Rosemary Lane.
We have so far been unable to find any more details on this family. Any
help would be appreciated.

Greetings Folks,
Does anyone have specific info regarding the Clements/Clemons who lived with
the Fugates in Breathitt Co. KY in mid-1700's? I'm trying to clarify the
line from them up to my grandmother (Margaret Combs Noble, b. 1897) married
to Lawson Noble (b. son of Green Noble (b. 1874, Breathitt Co.) & Malinda
McIntosh (b. 1873, Breathitt Co.) of Noble, KY.
My grandmother, Margaret Combs, was the daughter of America Ellen Clemons (b.
1868) and Tom Combs. Family lore has them tied to one of the many Francis
and Benjamin Clements. "Ellen" Clemons Combs ancestors are, purportedly, from
Wales.
Any clarification with names and dates would be appreciated.
Regards...Jacqueline Wilkerson Clemens
ps: Green Noble is the son of Ira Noble & Sarah Mullins. My grandfather,
Lawson Noble, had 8 siblings: Chester, Ida, Rachel, Ida, Corsie, Lewis, Ira,
Henry and Canzalia.
I'm seeking information on the parents and siblings of the following couples:
Thomas Cornelius Clements b. 2 Dec 1780 Darlington, SC, d. 9 May 1845 Irwin
Co., GA
+ Mary (Polly) Register b. 10 Jan 1782, d. 17 Sept 1851 Irwin Co., GA
John William Clements
+ Nancy Braddock
Any help would certainly be appreciated.

Hi, George:
Received your message regarding John Clements. My ancestor was Simon
Clements who was in the Am. Revolution, married twice, many children, etc.
Do you have anyone in your ancestoral tree named Simon. I really would like
to find the parents of the old boy. Haven't been working on genealogy for a
coon's age and am trying to get interested once again. Sure is hard when
you lay off for quite some time.
Good luck with the reunion and with finding your ancestors.
Hope to hear from you.
