I am seeking information about Nathan Glenn CLEMENT who was born April 22,
1808. He died May 11, 1872 in Henry County, TN. I believe that his
parents were Daniel CLEMENT and Wilmoth IRBY. Nathan Glenn CLEMENT is buried
in the Manleyville Cemetery near Springville, TN. His wife was Nancey
ALLEN. I know that they had one son who was named Thomas Daniel CLEMENT who
was born in Weakley County, TN on August 31, 1832. Thomas Daniel was a
Methodist minister and is buried in the Mt Moriah Cemetery in Weakley
County, TN. I would like very much to learn the names of the siblings of
Nathan Glenn CLEMENT. Any information will be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello,
Found this in Marriages of Some Virginia Residents by Wulfeck.
CLEMENTS
James, m. 14 Dec. 1757, Mary OLIVER from King William Co. Douglas Reg.,
pg. 3
Found this in The Douglas Register.
OLIVER, Mary, & James CLEMENTS, from King William, Dec. 15, 1757.
Take your pick as to which was from King William because if you read the
Douglas Register for the name CLEMENTS it reads as if Mary was from King
William. Hint...There are other CLEMENTS marriages in the register, but
there are NO OTHER OLIVER marriages. Hope this helps you.

Several years ago, I paid a researcher to find out who the Parents were of
Richard M.Queen . In the process I found there were even more mysteries
regarding my Sarah Webb. I still don't know who the parents are of either. Can
anyone put the pieces here together for me?
Please see the following letter:
17 September 1993
Sue Gentile
Dear Sue,
Sorry not to have been in touch sooner. I had hoped to have something positive
to report, but do not; and I have been very reluctant to expand the scope of
research due to your family health and work situation. I sincerely hope that
things are improving.
At your request, I spent almost two hours trying to connect the
Webbs and the Queens in Kentucky and the Kentucky Webbs with
Delaware Webbs (since in the 1850 census the widow Sarah Clements whom I
believe to be the Sarah Webb who married, first, 1800
Richard H. Queen-is listed as born in Delaware).
About the Webbs:
In 1789 tax lists, Kentucky, are taxpayers Forrester and Susanna
Webb in Fayette County, and on 1790 lists are Forrester Webb of
Woodford County, Augustine Webb of Fayette County, and John Webb of
Mason County. These are all Webb references in the 178990
Kentucky tax lists. None of these Webbs seem connected with Sarah
Webb (born circa 1782) who m. 1800 Richard H. Queen.
In Kentucky tax lists for 1800 (the year in which Sarah m. PM Queen in
Washington County), I find, in the vicinity of Washington County, a Benjamin
Webb of Nelson County and, in adjoining Washington County, a Nehemiah Webb. By
1810 (first actual Kentucky census), I find Benjamin & Nehemiah both living in
Nelson County, as are Jesse, John, and Jonathan. John was listed as 1626
years old, and Nehemiah, Jesse, and Jonathan, all listed as 2645, had very
young families (all children under 10), so they are not likely parents of
Sarah. This leaves Benjamin, who is listed as age 2645 but was probably
older. He lives alone, near John & Jesse, and not far from Nehemiah.
Smith, in Historic Nelson County, p. 63 identifies Nehemiah Webb
as a convert to Catholicism who came from Pennsylvania to Nelson
County between 1788 & 1790. Of course, he could have started from
Delaware, stopped in Pennsylvania, then proceeded to Kentucky.
Benjamin Webb died in 1814 in Nelson County, and Nehemiah Webb was made
administrator of his estate (Nelson County Recs., vol. 2, p.348). Benjamin may
have been the father or brother of Nehemiah. Nehemiah was made guardian of his
son Leo in 1824 (ibid, p. 379), which implies that Nehemiahs wife had died by
then. He evidently married, second, Clotilda _______, and died by 1830, when
Clotilda, widow of Nehemiah Webb, was allowed money from his estate (Nelson
County Records vol. 1 p. 304).
Nehemiah Webb was the father of (at least) Leo Webb and Rev. J.
Webb, a priest and publisher by 1839 (see p. 54, Smiths Historic
Nelson County).
Neither Benjamin nor Nehemiab Webb left a will; and there are no real estate
records recorded in Washington or Nelson Counties that tie them to the Sarah
Webb who married Richard H. Queen. And yet she probably came to Kentucky with
her parents, certainly before 1800, when only Benjamin and Nehemiah Webb
resided in Nelson-Washington Counties. I think it likely that she was related
to them.
I have inspected all Webb wills before 1800 in the state of Delaware, to find
mention of Benjamin or Neheiniah Webb. There is none. I have not looked at
Delaware wills past 1800.
I am afraid that I have not been able to produce direct evidence as to the
parentage of Sarah Webb who m. 1800 Richard H. Queen, in Washington County,
Kentucky. As you know, I believe her to be the Sarah Queen (likely the widow
of RMQ) who m. 1827 the widower Basil Clements (who had m/l Mary Morgan).
Basil Clements died in 1848 in Martin County, Indiana, and in the 1850 census
a widow Sarah Clements, 67, born Delaware, is found residing with Thomas
Queen, 49, who I believe to have been the eldest son of Richard H. Queen &
Sarah (Webb) Queen. As I have in the past, I would suggest to you that you
might want to try to locate Martin County death certificates for Thomas Queen
(b. 1801?) who m. Theresa OBrien, Joseph S. Queen (1804?-1877) who m. Sarah
Clements, Mary Queen who
m. John Clements, Richard H. Queen (b. 1813?) who m. Emily
and of course, James H. Queen (1820-1862) for whom you have the U.S. Army
death certificate but not the county death certificate. It may be that on one
of these death certificates (if they exist) it may mention who the parents
were (namely, I hope, Richard H. & Sarah Queen).
I do not think I can be of much further service given the resources that I
have access to in Washington, DC. I might also add that H.J. Queens work does
not connect Richard H. Queen (in. 1800 Sarah Webb) with the Maryland Queens,
although the name Richard H. is very suggestive of such a connection. I could
certainly pursue other lines if you wish, but think that your best bet at
present is to try to secure those death certificates!
With best wishes for health and happiness,
Sincerely,
Robert Booth
Dear Phyl,
I would love to know if there is a connection of your Joseph D to my Thomas J
Clements, born 1841 in Martin County, IN. He is son of Thomas Clements born
1823.
